I was kind of excited to watch this episode, because I was not even sure what episode it was, and the credits included Lucy Butler. Once I got a minute or two into it, I recognized the episode, but it has been so long that it was still a lot of fun to watch. I have to say though, this is one of the rare episodes that not only failed to surpass my memories of how good it was, but actually was not quite as good as I remembered it to be.

Maybe it was because I knew what was going to happen this time around. I still give it a pretty high rank, maybe 4.25 out of 5, but I remembered it as a 5. I suppose there could have also been some let down, due to the fact that Lucy only appeared as a temporary vision in the fire and did not have significant role. Not only did her mention in the credits make me look forward to another classic Lucy Butler episode, but the fact that I did not remember her being in any season 3 episodes other then Antipas, led me to hope that this was possibly one of those rare episodes that had slipped through the cracks and that I had not seen before. It was not until a 24 hour millennium marathon a few years back (I think it was Halloween, and I think it was in 2000), that I ran across "In Arcadia Ego", which had somehow eluded me until then. Still though, it was a pleasure to watch this episode that I haven't seen in such a long time, and I give it high marks.

In fact, if I were to judge it on originality alone, it would get a perfect 5 out of 5.
