Barry Levy, a veteran actor of nearly 20 years, has also had his filmmaking style compared to David Fincher's and his style of dialogue to Tarantino's.

After shining in a number of theatre roles, Barry made his film debut in Mark Sawyers' indie short film Stroke, which debuted at The Cannes International Film Festival in 1991.

Most recently he played Captain Jason Dahl in A&E's Emmy Award winning production, Flight 93. He has also guest starred on The X-Files, The Outer Limits, Stargate SG-1, Millennium, Mysterious Ways and Psych.

Over the years he has acted opposite David Arquette, Eric Stoltz, Gillian Anderson, Lance Henrikson, Natstatia Kinski, Stockard Channing, Chris Noth, the late Christopher Reeve, and ridden a haunted roller coaster with Barbara Hershey.

Aside from Spook, Barry's recent feature film appearances include Scary Movie 4 and Stephen King's Riding the Bullet.

Levy burst onto the independent film scene in 2003 with his controversial debut feature, Spook, as producer, writer, director, and lead actor. It brought home 8 festival awards including 2 grand jury prizes.

Awards for Spook: The Vison Award (Grand Jury Prize) at Chicago's Indie Fest, The Award of Excellence at The Berkeley Film & Video Festival, Best Feature Film (Grand Jury) at The deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City, Best Foreign Feature, Best Actor (for Barry as 'Kick') Oklahoma's Bare Bones International Film Festival, Best Dramatic Feature at The DV Awards, Best Feature Film at Florida's Cinevue International Film Festival, and a 2003 Grand Goldie Film Award.

Levy's production company, Mighty Pharaoh Films has a number of Barry's original scripts and projects currently in development, including a very smart werewolf movie entitled, Savage, written by Jason Young, the screenwriter for Check Brights.

He and his wife, actress Helenna Santos, make their home in Santa Monica, California, protected by their two ferocious cats Madelene and Spooky.
