Janette escaped from the Great Falls Women's Prison with her partner Juliette 'Sonny' Palmer so she could safely give birth to the child they both believed was immaculately conceived.

Frank located both women in a train yard and informed Janette of her medical condition, which would cause both her and the baby to bleed to death if she delivered outside a hospital. Although Frank assisted in the birth and the baby was born without complications, Janette died during childbirth.
