Profile

Alice was responsible for creating cassette tapes of white noise that subconsciously manifest the worst fears of listeners, among them:

Carol Wheatly who backed into the path of an oncoming truck because she blamed herself for the death of a boy who had fallen through thin ice, and Jerry Origo who threw himself out of a high-rise building because he neglected to place batteries in the smoke detectors of a housing project that caught fire and killed seven people.

After Frank received a tape, he experienced a vision of Catherine whose death he felt responsible for. Emma and Giebelhouse found him in the woods of the Wenatchee Mountains, nearly frozen to death.

During her interrogation, Alice spoke of a mythical ferryman named Charon (she had used a similar name, Victor Chyren, when mailing Frank his tape) who is referenced in Nostradamus. Frank concluded The Millennium Group used Aliceā€˜s services as a means of giving him back Catherine.
