Summary:

Summary:

When large quantities of human ashes are discovered in the flowerbeds in a San Francisco park, Frank Black joins an investigation that will lead to an overpowering cult that kills those members unwilling to conform to expectations. In getting closer to the cult's all-powerful leader, Frank gets his first glimpse of a dark force that is controlling the killers he seeks.

Summary:

A man preys on seemingly random women, making his bloody mark on a world he feels has reduced him to nothing but a number. Investigating on behalf of the Millennium Group, Frank Black finds difficulty on the case in the form of Jim Horn, a partner who is ill-suited to handle the intense horrors the case represents.

Summary:

A desperate man embarks on a cross-country killing spree, taking his revenge on the holy men he perceives to have led him astray in faith. Frank Black knows that the man's sense of faith, or lack thereof, is the key to stopping his killing spree. Soon, however, Frank's determination leads him right into the lion's den when he willingly walks into a hostage situation at a small town church.

Summary:

A juvenile delinquent begins taking advantage of families grieving the loss of a loved one, with the support of a sadistic friend, to a murderous end. Frank Black puts himself in the troubled boy's mind to find answers as Catherine looks elsewhere, into the boy's tortured family life.

Summary:

Catherine Black desperately tries to help a woman who was sexually abused by her father, Joe Bangs, when the man threatens to do the same to her little girl. Summary:

Frank Black and the Seattle Police Department try to solve the mystery of the murder of a couple whose young daughter was forced to witness the event, committed by a killer who uses highly protected real estate open houses as his access to victims. Catherine encourages Jordan to reach out to the young girl to help her recover from the horror she has experiences, purposely blocking the work of Bob Bletcher who is determined to make the girl relive the incident in order to gain vital evidence.

Summary:

Summary:

When a psychopathic doctor once captured by Frank Black escapes his hospital bed after requiring an operation, the famed profiler is called to Washington D.C. to aid in his recapture. Summary:

Frank Black and Peter Watts investigate a series of brutal killings in the Brighton Beach Russian community of New York City, killings that are linked to the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl. The shotgun slayings seem to be the work of mysterious Russian diplomat Sergei Stepanovich, a man recognized by the local immigrants as Yaponchik, a mythical Russian figure destined by prophecy to be revealed as the Antichrist.

Summary:

The Black family travels to visit Catherine's parents in Maryland. Catherine's father asks Frank to look into an old local case that may have been resolved improperly the first time around. The murder in question may have in fact been committed by the Woodsman, a serial killer still depositing bodies in the Maryland woods. In investigating these events, Frank might inadvertently be pulling his family closer toward the intentions of the Polaroid stalker.
