13th November 2002 By Graham P. Smith

Internet rumours continue to add speculation about the future DVD release of Millennium by Fox Home Entertainment. The much accredited DVD/Movie news site Digital Bits has recently posted an update to its Rumour Mill section with the following information:

We"ve got street dates for you on a few upcoming Fox TV series DVD sets. First up, Fox's Angel: The Complete First Season arrives on DVD on 2/11. M*A*S*H: The Complete Third Season will arrive on 2/18. NYPD Blue: The Complete First Season will follow on 3/18. We have word that The Simpson's: The Complete Third Season will street sometime in April of next year. The X-Files: The Complete Seventh Season will follow in May. And looking down the line, word is from our sources that Chris Carter's Millennium is also being prepped for DVD release before the end of 2003.

And in another TV-related note, Video Business is reporting that NBC's Will and Grace is going to be released on DVD next year through Lion's Gate. We say, let's see The West Wing next.

Stay tuned...

It’s always good news to read anything about Millennium making it to DVD but I can"t help but remind myself that a similar report was made at the beginning of this year where the end of 2002 was slated for a release date. I can"t pretend to know much about the DVD and Home Entertainment industry but I would assume that work must be starting soon if it has not already, on acquiring extra DVD Footage/Extra's etc to supplement a DVD release of Millennium. Meanwhile Amazon.com continues to take pre-orders and amass proof for Fox Home Entertainment that there is suitable demand for Millennium.

Let's keep the faith...
