There are many forms of sadness. It may be that one form can only be removed by seeing the joys in children.

I am very, very disturbeb by the deaths and destruction of 9/11. All catastrophes hurt me but this human-made defilement of life and achievement is on the level of what are called 'final solutions.' Some of these tragedies are enumerated in 'Final Soultions: mass killing and genocide in the twentieth century' by Benjamin A. Valentino. You can read it on Google by clicking this text. These abominations are world wide and indicate an intrinsic defect in the human race. We are all the seed of Adam. We all have the potential for great harm. The only holy, righteous final solution to nature's groanings will be at the return of Jesus Christ and it will be in His hands alone.

We also share an opportunity to turn from our carnality to the Life Giving Son. We can develop our sensitivity to the pain and suffering that exists. Every kind word can start a wave through society. Ever smile or pat on the back may influence the receiver to 'pass it on.' We are to be light and not darkness.
