  1. What's new in this club
  2. You're not along, those "God Moments" keep me sane too....contrary to popular opinion.
  3. OH I'm nuts. No doubt. But, those moments? They keep me relatively "sane" LOL
  4. And my friend seesthru, unless someone has had a "God moment," they would consider us nuts. I'm close, but the Earth part saves me.
  5. I watched a pine cone fall from a tree once, never ever paid any attention before that day. I saved the pine cone. It was one of those God moments, just like the white feather.
  6. Little things do make a difference. To me, they are a sign from God saying I've not been forgotten. When it started, when I started noticing little things, was years back. It was white feathers. White feathers falling from the sky. Sounds crazy! True though. I would sit outside, and a single white feather would fall from the sky. I'd never see the bird it came from, just a feather softly floating down to the ground in front of me. After I started noticing those, then other things would catch my eye, like a beautiful sky, or a flower blooming in a patch of dirt... Then yes, I'd get a sense of peace and happiness when I'd do something I'd been putting off. Sometimes the only thing that gets me through a day, is noticing the little things, and appreciating them.
  7. Sad to say I've had to take a leave of absence, but I am finding more time now to come back and chat. After this past nightmare year I've been through, and still in, I can truly say that the best way I kept my sanity was my alone time with the Lord. Then listening to peaceful music, careful what movies and TV shows I watch, what I read, and especially who I talk to. Other people's attitudes can drag you down just as they can lift you up. I had to literally cut off one friend, for reasons I won't go into, but it reached the point where we had to go our separate ways after 20 years. We drifted apart into separate worlds. Naturally, each person deals with things, like grief for example, in their own way. I do believe peaceful surroundings and sounds are the keys, especially nature. I go to the lake sometimes and just sit and quiet my heart. And, get plenty of rest. Sometimes we sleep, but we don't rest, and that is so important, speaking from my own experience. It's just as Libby said, "Little things that can make a big difference." So true.
  8. I understand something of where you're coming from, seesthru. It's often the "little" things that have the biggest effect. I'm currently working on the idea that life isn't a competition. I don't enjoy walking because sometimes my knee joints hurt, and I'm not always steady on my feet. It doesn't matter that my husband could probably walk ten times the distance at ten times the speed. What matters is my achievement. On Tuesday, I bought a wifi printer. It took me ages to set it up, because we have a long and complicated wifi password. It doesn't matter that my son could probably have set it up in a tenth of the time. What mattered was my achievement. From the window of my den, I can now see blue skies instead of the incessant rain; and the scaffolding on the house across the (very narrow) road has at long last come down. And the birds are being very noisy and waking me up early. It doesn't matter, because they're doing what they need to do so there will be baby birds. Little things that can make a big difference.
  9. Peter Watts' Mustache. I think of that, and smile. LOL! Seriously, I find one good thing about the day. One good thing, even if it's a mustache, or a pretty leaf on a tree, or something as pedestrian as a fart joke. I find one thing to smile about. Then if I'm really trying, I find another., I have always been a pretty downbeat person. However, One thing a day. It's a start. It's gotten me through many downbeat days, and has made those days pretty special! You know, this episode is my all time fav. I don't know why. I just love it!
  10. Audrey Hepburn will forever be known as a great actress, but there was more to Audrey than always appeared on the screen. Her writings have some wonderful thoughts regarding “beauty tips”, which she shared. They were read at her funeral years later. For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others. Audrey Hepburn Images
  11. did it for my son too! :) this is him took, lots of creative energy and nowhere to channel it. 29/11 11: Double Creativity and Confidence 2: Cooperation and Balance 9: Integrity and Wisdom Those on the 29/11 life path are here to combine creative energy with higher principles and integrity, finding ways to apply their creativity in service of others, aligned with higher wisdom. Such higher wisdom is revealed by spiritual laws, especially the laws 29/11s are here to live and learn. All 29/11s, along with other double 1s, have tremendous creative potential. But because their primary life purpose represents a kind of mountain to climb, they may not feel as creative as others who aren’t working 1 energy and who have few pressing issues or obstacles in that arena. Some 29/11s are still “stuck” working the 2 or 9 issues that precede the 11, which may block their awareness of the abundant energy available to them. Many 29/11s are extremely creative, but they have trouble handling the energy.
  12. I did this for my daughters birthday and got this. This is so her. lol 42/6 6: Vision and Acceptance 4: Stability and Process 2: Cooperation and Balance Those on the 24/6 or 42/6 life path are here to work through issues of perfectionism, process, and responsibility, taking life one step at a time, manifesting their vision in practical ways, and accepting the inherent perfection of their life. Since our life purpose doesn’t come easily, 24/6s and 42/6s have a hard time accepting themselves, others, and the world as they are. Both 24/6s and 42/6s can get lost worrying about petty details — things they said, should have said, or shouldn’t have said or done. Regrets and guilts are a familiar part of their life until 24/6s and 42/6s expand their vision to the bigger picture, to the overriding perfection of life. With 4 issues combined with ideals of 6 energy, 24/6s and 42/6s have difficulty with patience; they see their own and everyone else’s potential and push to reach the summit, but they would rather make the journey in one leap than follow the step-by-step process they’re here to master.
  13. Well, thank you Hippyroo for that very insightful comment. I'm sure everyone is grateful for your input. <-- that was sarcasm, by the way. However, you might well have missed something very pertinent. People here are intelligent adults and are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves what is fun and what is serious, what to believe and what not to believe. And it's very obvious from a lot of posts here that people do think for themselves, often through a lot of research and reading. I, for one, don't think that they need to be told anything by you about this topic. Now, I hope someone else could contribute to this topic, to get it back on track. I could do some waffling (occasionally I'm good at that), but it would be fun if someone else could check out Earthnut's link and post what is revealed about them.
  14. I think one of the many things we do well in TIWWA is enable people to feel comfortable here whatever their belief systems. Discussions about religion/faith work best when linked to Millennium, either specific episodes or generally. This bit of the board is supposed to be lighthearted - but not mocking. Thank you for the link, Earthnut. No matter what I think about this sort of thing, it does always make me think. Now, did anyone else plug in the birthdate of MM's creator? The year is 1956 for those that don't know - anyone who can't remember the month and day is likely to get a visit from Lucy Butler, so you've been warned.
  15. I posted the link strickly for fun and no other reason. It does not reflect my beliefs, only those of Dan Millman. Your spirituality is between you and God only, and I for one will not tell anyone how to believe. I believe we are to research it all, and then separate the wheat from the tares. Anything I personally post, whether it be the Easter article or the one on Shepherds for starters, is researched, and can be documented and biblically supported. May you all be blessed with eyes to see and ears to hear, and always surrounded in divine love. This is who we are.
  16. Okay, this is all good fun! I took a shot at it and here's my thing... The Life Purpose number for people born on 3/18/1970 is 29/11 29/11 11: Double Creativity and Confidence 2: Cooperation and Balance 9: Integrity and Wisdom Those on the 29/11 life path are here to combine creative energy with higher principles and integrity, finding ways to apply their creativity in service of others, aligned with higher wisdom. Such higher wisdom is revealed by spiritual laws, especially the laws 29/11s are here to live and learn. All 29/11s, along with other double 1s, have tremendous creative potential. But because their primary life purpose represents a kind of mountain to climb, they may not feel as creative as others who aren't working 1 energy and who have few pressing issues or obstacles in that arena. Some 29/11s are still "stuck" working the 2 or 9 issues that precede the 11, which may block their awareness of the abundant energy available to them. Many 29/11s are extremely creative, but they have trouble handling the energy. Copyright © 2010 Dan Millman. All rights reserved.
  17. It's a fun thing! I'm more sceptical than early-seasons Scully, but even I have fun with this sort of thing. Mine is: 33/6 6: Vision and Acceptance 3: Expression and Sensitivity 3: Expression and Sensitivity Those on the 33/6 life path are here to work through issues of perfectionism, emotional expression, and self-doubt in order to bringforward their inspiring vision of life's possibilities, while appreciating the innate perfection of the present moment. This world contains both beauty and ugliness, kindness and cruelty. Those working 33/6 energy, with their high ideals and acute sensitivity, tend to feel disheartened by the problems and imperfections of the world, but they suppress their sadness and even their anger as they attempt to "do the right thing" due to their high standards. Ironically, even with their depth of emotions, 33/6s can appear cool and unemotional. The lives of 33/6s grow brighter when they realize that their visions, hopes, and high ideals are here to inspire them, not become the yardstick by which they measure the world. They need to appreciate that in the world of form, no perfect person, performance, or product exists; they also need to appreciate and express their vision of the inherent or higher level of perfection already existing in the world. I'm really not sure what to make of that! I tried out the birthdates of my offspring. Apparently my daughter's one major life theme is emotional expression - she's in IT, mostly database programming/management; my son's lifework is to help others find their own sources of energy and inspiration - he's in IT, mostly networks. Hmmm....
  18. Hi guys, Here's my thing. I'm all for a healthy debate on matters such as these but the best way to facilitate that is to comment on the subject matter and not to direct your opinions at the posters themselves. It is fair to consider a subject silly but not fair to consider those who may feel differently as silly themselves. That distinction is important. That said, let's continue to talk about the subject and let this be and end to the matter folks. Eth
  19. Roo, its all in fun and should be taken with enjoyment and positvity to enlighten oneself not negativity, respect others beliefs and spirituality. BTW, his name is Eth aka Mark, and he is one of the kindest most gentlest souls you will ever know, far from "haughty" im sure he was just giving you a gentle nudge to make things more enjoyable for everyone. Laura :)
  20. Perhaps you should have sent your message in an email, esteph? "haughty" indeed. If people know they are being silly, good for them. I am adding some opportuinity for an indepth look at the topic.
  21. Roo, Before you take such a haughty attitude with those who responded to this thread maybe you could point out to us where it is asserted, or believed, by anyone posting in this thread that it is anything other than harmless entertainment? I would appreciate it if you would answer posts and topics based on what is written rather than what you think you have read in future. Eth
  22. Snake Oil for sale anyone? Haven't you seen the Amazing Randi expose this kind of "entertainment"? Penn and Teller did an updated version on their Bullsh...t show. Come on people!
  23. I forgot mine too. :) 37/10 10: Creativity and Confidence with Inner Gifts 3: Expression and Sensitivity 7: Trust and Openness Those on the 37/10 life path are here to work through issues of creativity while learning to trust the wise and beautiful spirit in themselves and others, and to apply their inner gifts to create more harmony in the world. These individuals sometimes fulfill their life path in the world at large, as did famous 37/10s Jean Renoir, Aldous Huxley, and Leo Tolstoy, but lesser-known 37/10s can fulfill their destiny equally well within a circle of friends or a smaller community. However, since our life purpose rarely comes easily, 37/10s may take time to open up and trust themselves or the process of their life. They have a sensitive, private disposition and must overcome deeply rooted insecurity.
