    JOHNS HOPKINS WEIGHT STUDY

Well, that took me a couple or three read-throughs to get it. Nice one, Earthnut.

    Golfing Nun

Golfing Nun A nun walks into Mother Superior's office and plunks down into a chair. She lets out a sigh heavy with frustration. 'What troubles you, Sister?' asked the Mother Superior .. 'I thought this was the day you spent with your family.' 'It was,' sighed the Sister. 'And I went to play golf with my brother. We try to play golf as often as we can. You know I was quite a talented golfer before I devoted my life to Christ.' 'I seem to recall that,' the Mother Superior agreed. 'So I take it your day of recreation was not relaxing?' 'Far from it,' snorted the Sister. 'In fact, I even took the Lord's name in vain today!' 'Goodness, Sister!' gasped the Mother Superior, astonished. 'You must tell me all about it!' 'Well, we were on the fifth tee...and this hole is a monster, Mother Superior - 540 yard Par 5, with a nasty dog leg left and a hidden green....and I hit the drive of my life. I creamed it. The sweetest swing I ever made. And it's flying straight and true, right along the line I wanted...and it hits a bird in mid-flight !' 'Oh my!' commiserated the Mother. 'How unfortunate! But surely that didn't make you blaspheme, Sister!' 'No, that wasn't it,' admitted Sister. 'While I was still trying to fathom what had happened, this squirrel runs out of the woods, grabs my ball and runs off down the fairway!' 'Oh, that would have made me blaspheme!' sympathized the Mother. 'But I didn't, Mother!' sobbed the Sister. 'And I was so proud of myself! And while I was pondering whether this was a sign from God, this hawk swoops out of the sky and grabs the squirrel and flies off, with my ball still clutched in his paws!' 'So that's when you cursed,' said the Mother with a knowing smile. 'Nope, that wasn't it either,' cried the Sister, anguished, 'because as the hawk started to fly out of sight, the squirrel started struggling, and the hawk dropped him right there on the green, and the ball popped out of his paws and rolled to about 18 inches from the cup!' Mother Superior sat back in her chair, folded her arms across her chest, fixed the Sister with a baleful stare and said...
  6. JOHNS HOPKINS WEIGHT STUDY The National Institute of Health has just released the results of a $200 million research study completed under a grant to Johns Hopkins. The new study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention it.

    THE BOOK

Hey there, folks. I just spotted this thread, and whilst it's old news now that the book is out, I figured I could confirm and deny a few details for those that might be interested. There's no written material included in the book that has been previously published over on the Back to Frank Black website. Many of the podcast interviews have been re-interpreted into a series of interviews, but these will read completely differently to how you'd hear them on the podcasts themselves. Added to that there are a number of original essays exploring many aspects of the series, from the likes of Joe Maddrey, Brittany Tiplady, and Dixon himself, with whom I co-edited the volume. There is indeed more over at Back to Frank Black, plus you can read much more in the press release and from the book's page at Fourth Horseman Press, from where you can order a copy, too! It's also worth noting that all profits from the book are going to charity. Last but not least, I can attest that Dixon is very much alive and well, and send his regards to one and all! It goes without saying that both of us had our heads down working on the book for a number of months, indulging in and celebrating all things Millennium, plus you'll still find the Millennial Abyss online and with a few recent updates to boot.

BEER-----> OK, say hi to him for me. I guess I could just email him. BELCH

    THE BOOK

I would think that a significant proportion of material in the book would be the material already published on the website. But in book form that material would be easier to read for those who haven't already downloaded it. Beer: Some people prefer being part of the community of the board here, and some people prefer working on that website. Two different things, with not a lot of overlap for a long time.

BEER----> I just read on wikipediaa that there is a book coming out this year (2012( about 'MillenniuM' the TV series. Lance, Britinny and others are contributing along with Dixon of 'The Fourth Horsemen'. Does anyone know if this is true or false? What a prize it would be, if true. BELCH

    Seven Years Ago Today

I give credit to Grahmn also because of him I was able to be a contributor for Milennium Apocolypse 1 and The X-Files Lexicon. Can't give him credit for my own website but he is a inspiration for me to stay strong, and I did. I am now recognized by the St.Louis Cardinals. I now get free tickets through out the season. The 7 years have been fun

    Seven Years Ago Today

Happy Anniversary Joe ! ! ! This site certainly has changed my life, and for the better may I add. In the over 2 years I have been here it has been a blessing, and I always tell newbies that it's my home away from home. Thank you all.

    Seven Years Ago Today

Joe, I did notice when looking at birthdays/anniversaries the foot of the main page that today was your 7th anniversary here. I had to stop and think. Seven years?! There's a sense about time that doesn't always make sense. Seven years is a very long time, yet at the same time seems like yesterday; your son is six years old now, where on earth did the time go? I wonder how much life has changed for members ever since Graham created this community for us here. Congratulations on your anniversary!
