No1, Where did you see the latest Papillion?

    Mr. Robot

Totally agree about Rami Malek being talented. I just saw him in the remake of Papillon, and he was awesome. Rock stars aren't my thing, but I do like some of their music of course, but been wanting to see Bo.. Rhap... for Rami's performance. I read it was sensational.

    Mr. Robot

Just saw "Bohemian Rhapsody" last night, the biopic about Freddie Mercury from Queen, where Freddie is played by Rami Malek, who also plays Elliot Alderson in Mr. Robot. He's a really talented actor, IMO, and I enjoyed him in this role, too. Recommend the movie if you like stories about rock stars.

The Man in the High Castle (2015 - )

Haven't seen Six or Bosh and will check them out. Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan was very good, I recommend it. Trust me, you won't be sorry with The Man....... The concept is definitely fascinating, and to me very possible. The story is well written and acted, plus every episode keeps you at the edge of your seat not knowing what's going to happen next. It really has become one of my favorite shows along with The Handmaid's Tale. The Last Ship is another, but its in the final season now. I love Ancient Aliens and wish they would air S2 of Taboo, with Tom Hardy.
  7. The Old Man

The Man in the High Castle (2015 - )

Six was excellent if you get to see it. Currently watching Bosch which is a great serial killer/cop drama after finishing the awesome Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, but I have this on my to watch list! Season 2 is now available on Amazon Prime. It's a fascinating concept. How can so much pleasure come from one tiny, USB-sized stick?!

The Man in the High Castle (2015 - )

All the episodes are scheduled to air on the same day, 10/5/18. They've already aired in some places, available today, and I am getting ready to watch them.

The Man in the High Castle (2015 - )

It's an Amazon production. I have to wait till the following day after it airs to watch it because I don't have Amazon. Then there's Netflix and Hulu that I also don't have. I already pay more than enough just for cable channels.

The Man in the High Castle (2015 - )

I saw an episode or two of this show... then It disappeared. I thought I was watching it on netflix. Is it on network tv? I've seen a few episodes, but that was in 2015.
  14. The Man in the High Castle (2015 - ) has become one of my favorite shows. I am so hooked. The storyline is about what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States, which includes a neutral zone and its capitol. There is a resistance fighting against both powers to win the United States back. I recommend starting this series if at all possible. It's fantastic. Per Wiki ~ Premiering in January 2015, the pilot was Amazon's "most-watched since the original series development program began". Created by Frank Spotnitz Production Executive producer(s) Ridley Scott Frank Spotnitz Christian Baute Isa Dick Hackett Stewart Mackinnon Christopher Tricarico Starring Alexa Davalos Rupert Evans Luke Kleintank DJ Qualls Joel de la Fuente Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa Rufus Sewell Brennan Brown Callum Keith Rennie Bella Heathcote Opening theme "Edelweiss", performed by Jeanette Olsson Composer(s) Henry Jackman Dominic Lewis Historical characters[edit] Wolf Muser as Adolf Hitler Ray Proscia as SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich Keone Young as Gensui Shunroku Hata Kenneth Tigar as SS-Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler (season 2) Peter Anderson as Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda (season 2) Lisa Paxton as Eva Braun, Hitler's wife (season 2) IMDb puts this show in the categories of Drama, Sci Fi, and Thriller. Season 3 will be released on October 5, 2018, and has been renewed for a 4th season. Yes, it's that good. I am halfway through watching season 2 again to refresh my memory. Flag of the Greater Nazi Reich in America Flag of the Japanese Pacific States My favorite character is Obergruppenführer John Smith, the senior officer in the SS, played by Rufus Sewell. He's mysterious, and I am excited to learn more about him in this new season. I'm betting, and hoping of course, when the series ends, he will end up being a hero. He already is to the Germans. After season 1 aired someone posted ~ Per IMDb, an original movie released in 1994. Even though I have not read the book, I have seen the movie. It was good for it's day. One review said,

    Mr. Robot

Between us, Walkabout and I could open a library with all of the DVDs that we have collected. Sadly, most of our VHS tapes are gone, and some of them never made it to DVD. I have managed to save a few of them. I have a program that can transfer a VHS to the computer and convert it to DVD format, but haven't the room to set up a VHS player at my computer. Maybe someday. One off the top of my head is The Brothers Karamazov (1958). It's a classic, full of stars. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051435/ Never heard of The Deuce. After going to IMDb and reading about it, sorry, not interested. And doesn't really look similar to Carnivàle after reading about it. Carnivàle is a very spiritual show. Just finished watching season 2 of The Sinner. It's a murder mystery that stars Bill Pullman, with a twist in every episode, and little to no violence. Season 1 was good too and why I wanted to see 2. It just finished airing. They're both more about the people and solving the murder.

    Mr. Robot

I have not seen Carnivàle, but have heard elsewhere it was very good. Have you seen The Deuce? Similar, but different. I like it, don't love it. Watch when I can. Walkabout has a goo DVD collection:)

    Mr. Robot

Yes, comedies do have more staying power. The show that both Graham and I wish at lasted at least one more season was Carnivàle (not a comedy) . It only had 2, and it was such a different story line, and such a good show. It's in Walkabout's stack of DVDs to watch. Have you seen it?

    Mr. Robot

I agree. I've often said TV writers don't know how to write endings. First, they never know when it will end, and second, the plug gets pulled before they can figure it out. So, yeah, in this case, Sam had written it as a feature originally, so I think he had an ending in mind when he the chance to turn it into a TV show. Yes, M*A*S*H (and the Korean War) did end, unfortunately in the former instance and fortunately in the second, but I think comedies have more staying power than dramas as they're more character-driven than plot driven. JMHO.

    Mr. Robot

Personally, I think most shows should end after a few seasons, otherwise they get drawn out and even boring, plus often they're grabbing at straws for stories. Glad to hear Sam is using common sense. Grimm was a perfect example of running too long, and to me it's time for The Walking Dead to end. Then there are shows that can go on and on, like NCIS and Criminal Minds, because the story lines are endless. MASH is another one that was so good, and the reason I think it had to end is the actors had grown out of the parts. Plus, the war in Korea did end.

    Mr. Robot

The fourth season, coming in 2019 sometime, is to be the final season of this innovative and intriguing show. It sounds as though show creator Sam Esmail thought it would be the best place to end it.

Black Mirror sounds interesting. Will have to check it out. All the nominations T H T has is a very good indication of how good the show is. Wish Man in the High Castle aired on a different channel. It should also be nominated.

    2018 Emmys

Black Mirror is a different story each time, but each episode has a different take on the dystopic world espcecially as it is in the digital age.

    The Handmaid's Tale

That's it in a nutshell. Religion always wants to take over and be in control. It pushes itself in the name of God to justify all that it does and says, like killing in God's name. NOT the Holy Spirit. The Holy Divine Great Spirit Creator God is not associated with religion and doctrines, they are man-made. Our God IS Divine Love. Something this world and most people on it know little to nothing about. Yes, the movie was very diluted, but was still very good for its time. This series is the bomb. I read that there's a Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's stage version of T H T. Curious to know how good it is.
