  1. For anyone in the Manchester UK area- I have a spare ticket for the sold out Frank Spotnitz Masterclass Q&A at Media City on Monday 27th Jan starting 6pm. Anyone who fancies it let me know. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rts-nw-a-masterclass-with-frank-spotnitz-tickets-75136642721?utm_campaign=reminder_attendees_48hour_email&utm_medium=email&ref=eemaileventremind&utm_source=eventbrite&utm_term=eventname
  2. Hi all, For those able to get to it, Frank Spotnitz is in a Q&A on his career at University of Salford, MediaCityUK, Manchester, Mon, 27 January 2020 from 6.30pm. Besides of course his involvement in Millennium and X-Files he is also executive producer on The Man in the High Castle, now in its fourth season fpr Amazon, and Medici: Masters of Florence on Netflex, among many others. Tickets are free from this link- https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rts-nw-a-masterclass-with-frank-spotnitz-tickets-75136642721?aff=eemailordconf&utm_campaign=order_confirm&ref=eemailordconf&utm_medium=email&utm_source=eventbrite&utm_term=viewevent Those in the north of the UK very very rarely get event like this so I aim to make the most of it. Any TIWWA's going let me know. cheers baz
  3. Sorry to have learnt only today of Joe's passing on the 16th June. I went on his fb profile to wish him happy birthday. He would have been 54 today. I only knew him through TIWWA, and his enthusiasm for the show and his collaboration on the virtual season 6 was invaluable. The impact he had on his friends and family is evident in the many condolences, and we can only hope we can all be remembered as well as he is. Farewell, High Plains Drifter.
  4. So has anyone had a chance to watch this doc? I pre=ordered the blu-ray and the first volume of music. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
  5. I like to think of Millennium like a great album, a classic that is very much of its time but also forever relevant. Each generation that finds it will discover their own way of relating to it. We, on this forum and those on the other fan groups on social media, have all been affected by it. It changes the way we view the world, as great works should. And if the world does seem darker than it was back then, I think we can be assured there is, somewhere out there, a Frank Black, still trying to keep out the darkness from seeping into our own yellow house.

  7. Thanks Earthnut, by all means whenever you're ready send over any quotes you think may be appropriate for the themes; the comic focuses on present day Frank in the twilight of his years and of Jordan becoming a strong independent woman making her own way in the world. PM would be fine. Also I'm sure Oklahoma would be a fine setting for an episode. My partner's mother is actually from Oklahoma, though I've never been there myself.
  8. Hi all, so I was thinking, for the MM fan comic stuff I'm working on in the background, about adding in places and people from the forum as a thank you for peoples ongoing support to TIWWA and the fandom. I have a list of main characters, and plenty of opportunity for other supporting cast members. If anyone wants to nominate their hometown as a potential setting for an episode (though traditionally of course every episode should look like Vancouver!), or would like to have their likeness included, please let us know. Also I want to include quotations from 21st century sources at the beginning of each episode, whether from speeches, poetry etc, so anything you've come across you think might be millenniumistic please include. The themes include mortality, loss of self, and new beginnings.
  9. Thanks everyone. I hadn't seen the gallery for ages, some brilliant stuff on there, including yours Smiley!
  10. This is a great idea. What medium did you use?
These are fantastic, can't wait ti see more!
  11. Thanks Darlene! Will post up more as I do them.
  12. I am still saddened by the lack of MM comics out there, so continuing to draw Lance whenever I can inbetween other work for a fan piece. Here is a mock up of a painting I did based on a recent Lance TV appearance, with the trade dress from the IDW comics a few years ago, but with a little TIWWA tweak.
  13. Hi All, Any UK based group members fancy meeting up when Lance is in London this July? http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/index.php/9-lfcc-guests/london-guests-filmandtv/1001-lance-henriksen Would be nice to put faces to names!
  14. Hi all, it seemed appropriate to add this link in this thread as there is news coming out from NYCC about the next X- Files series. The full interview is here: http://deadline.com/2017/10/the-x-files-revival-chris-carter-david-duchovny-gillian-anderson-lone-gunmen-new-york-comic-con-1202184258/#respond but the relevant MM part at the end is copied here: DEADLINE: In such times, are there other shows you’d like to resurrect? CARTER: I think Millennium would be a show that would have more life in it but no one’s ever spoken seriously to me about that. DEADLINE: Odd.. CARTER: Yeah, I always feel that there are more of those stories to tell as well. After three seasons, we pulled the plug on that show but the ratings were still very good so I think that there is a new approach to that show building on the solid foundation that was already there. END
  15. Hi all. Something of interest to fellow group members, an upcoming Netflix series adapting of John Douglas‘ 1996 nonfiction novel, “Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit,” which is based on Douglas’ work as an FBI profiler tracking down serial killers. Also one of the source book inspirations for the writers on Millennium. http://www.slashfilm.com/mindhunter-teaser-trailer-david-finchers-new-netflix-series/
  16. Hi all, just a quick note to say sadly I won't be posting the first episode of VS6 on Halloween as intended due to other work commitments, instead it will be closer to Christmas before I'll have the artwork finished. Instead I will post up the script text on the VS6 blog for people to read. Look forward to your thoughts on it. Cheers
  17. No worries Graham- I can still log in to the development forums, it's good to have that there to refer back to but this'll be fine for time being; I'll DM with Gotham Gal the script and discussions that way.
  18. I'll send you a DM with the file attached- reading through it, it needs a bit more work. I didn't realise each post we make was being tweeted automatically too!
  19. Thanks Gotham Gal- I can send you the script to read through if you like? Since announcing my intention to do a VS6 it's not really got many peoples interest but I'm happy to do it for my own amusement, if no-one elses! :)
  20. HI all. Just a quick note for regular TIWWA members, I'm currently finishing my script for VS6 Episode 1, and could do with a few volunteers to check it out for me and give some feedback. Who fancies it? Let me know, cheers
