  1. Most of those are way too messy. A garotte, or an overdose of morphine. Or the drowning one. Cleaner corpse
  2. Giebelhouse was the realest of the real of Millennium Characters.
  3. The actor that played Joseph P Ratfinkovitc,h the selfosophist found dead in "Jose Chung's Doomsday Defense" is on that show, too. Patrick Fabian.
  4. It was an okay episode. I never thought about the relationships like that, beyond the storyline. I did think one thing, how stereotypical they made some of the gay characters, like Beebe from "Beware of The Dog" and the lesbian couple that found the body in "The Judge", and yes, the "In Arcadia Ego", the one woman being overweight masculine. I never thought at all about the Frenchman in the Pilot episode, beyond how utterly tortured he was to go so far over the edge in his thinking.
  5. What was the significance of 5 dogs? Is there some meaning behind the number 5?
  6. I guess that is as good an excuse as any! LOL I see signs of another panic here in Florida, and for good reason. I can't believe the stupidity of people. I was in public, wearing my mask, and a guy comes up, tries to chat me up, and as usual around here, he's unmasked. After a few minutes, tells me he's been exposed to the virus. I know him, we chat occasionally. He's early 70's. I know we blame the younger people for the spread, and yes they do, but where I am? My exposure on a nearly daily basis comes from the over 50 crowd. Anyway he cannot conceive the notion that he should be at home, in quarantine for 2 weeks. He's flabbergasted I tell him he needs to go get tested, then wait at home for the results and stay home. I tell him he's put me and everyone he's been in contact with, at great risk, because he's not masked and he's been exposed and is out possibly spreading the virus. He's clueless. He doesn't get it. Many people say, if they get it and die, so be it. But they don't seem to care about the people they will be killing in the process. I've been coughed on, full dead on. The person coughing is completely unconcerned about where their germs are going. This ticks me off at any given time, as I believe people do know better, they just don't care. And they act like I'm a lunatic if I so much as speak up about it. The cabin in the woods is a very good place right about now. Wish I had one! Anyway, the shelves still aren't stocked, I can't get disinfecting wipes, the bleach is some weird name, can't seem to get masks, even though you rarely see people wearing them . Toilet paper is in stock. Food, meh, some good, pricey though. I'd settle for the Black cabin, as rickety as it was..... Or even a tent by a lake. Wait, no tent. Bears and bigfoot... How about a cabin or a sturdy camper?
  7. You've completely lost me with all that well researched info! You can put the episode wherever it suits you. August, wherever. That's the beauty of what I call a stand-alone episode like Force Majeure. Unlike Paper dove, it's placement in any one spot isn't crucial to the series timeline in general. It's like Somehow Satan and Jose Chung. Flexible to a point. I mean, Somehow Satan is an episode that could fit in any of the seasons and not upset the timeline or storyline, except for Frank's hair color...Jose Chung is flexible to any given point in Season 1 and 2. Force Majeure could fit into any spot in season 1 or 2 just about, IF you ignore the newspaper date, and any other seasonal reference that might be in the episode, like attire..
  8. I've got to look a couple of references up and I"ll get back to ya on the 1000 days they kept talking about. As for Catherine, Jordan and Frank, they moved out of the yellow house in season 2 . Beware of the Dog was the last episode they lived there. And regarding Hoffman, Frank was still new to the group and thought maybe Hoffman was someone he hadn't yet been introduced to.... it's very much a season 1 episode IMHO.
  9. It aired on feb 7 1997, so I think, time wise, it is where it was supposed to be, to be current to viewers when it aired. I don't think the thousand days was supposed to end in 2000 or in may 2000. I'd have to watch it again to findout if they gave a date fro the end of the 1000 days. Ayway, it's the 13th episode, and I like that number! 🙂
  10. My county was not in a hurry to do any social distancing. Escanbia. And peopel still running around acting silly. Honestly some folks thnkthey are social distancing and doing stay at home.... but they go to a friends house to get nails done, invite me on a shopping trip to Wal Mart, don't wear the mas or gloves, or stay HOME when not at work. Let their kid go play with other kids at the park. But they will yell at another person for not wearing a mask. LOL!!! These are people I know, at the little store I fill in at from time to time. And if I get through this without them infecting me, or them catching it themselves, I'll consider it a miracle. The owner still licks his finger to open a bag or count money. If someone coughs, or sneezes, he runs and washes his hands... but he licks that finger every time when he's counting money or opening those bags to put stuff in. What are ya gonna do! Hand washing, glove wearing, mask wearing, and turning down each and every invite is what i do. I wipe surfaces, credit card machines, chairs, door handles, ATM machines.. But that's the general attitude. Some people act very scared, and they are covered head to toe. But they forget, touch their masks. I forget. Heck, I"m not perfect. But this is definitely a locked down county, definitely a very relaxed atmosphere. I"m lucky that I live alone and don't have company.
  11. OH gosh, organic eggs here? Not unless you know someone with some chickens! I miss organic eggs. I miss having a few hens. Toilet paper, we had some in the store. I didn't buy any! I still have some at home. You know, oddly enough, coffee was never out. Or soda! Bread is makign it's way back onto the shelves, as are bananas. Meat is in better supply, though double the price it was, as are eggs and other foods. Still can't get disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer or masks. Or alcohol wipes, or anything like that. It's going to be a while.
  12. I'm not the old man, but the kinds of foods that I eat that last a few months are : canned tuna canned ravioli dehydrated hamburger, dehydrated bell pepper, dehydrated mushrooms, and some canned spaghetti sauce, and pasta canned veggies like green beans, asparagus. freeze dried fruit jerky instant mashed potatoes, baby reds flavor. canned diced tomatoes, shelf stable milk. Yep! Not evaporated, but shelf stable, in a carton. Good for cooking with crackers canned fruit Peanut butter flour I can make tomato soup with the tomatoes and milk, and flour. It can use some butter, but unless I make ghee, no butter! Make spaghetti. yum! canned asparagus is okay. I can do canned corn, mixed with rice. Or canned peas mixed with rice. I grew up on canned vegetables. I had to acquire a taste for fresh veggies sometime after adulthood. Anyway, You get the drift. It might not be gourmet, but it's doable. Oh yeah, smoked oysters in a can. No spam. No vienna sausages... candy instant oatmeal
  13. Nooooo!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously Earthnut, you're a vital part of this place! I hope you change your mind or at least peek in and let folks know you're okay, and that the writing is going well. Any hints on what you're writing????? Sending hugs and hoping all will be okay ...
  14. You think about so much already! You've given lots for us all to think about and discuss! 🙂
  15. I thought the ultimate explanation of "The Thin White Line was more of a love story so intense that the two became of one heart and mind, and that's why the killer could complete the murders of his still incarcerated lover so meticulously.
  16. The reason I don't, is that I really have trouble deciding on a ranking for the episodes past my few favorites. 1 Last two of season 2 After that, I can't rank them. I can't decide if I like Beware of Dog better than The episode where the Old Man gets killed, or if I like Midnight of the Century better than Beware of the Dog... Jose Chung's Doomsday Defense is a favorite, but it's kind of a stand alone for me. I can't rank it at all/ Force Majeure competes with Midnight of the Century and Beware of the Dog too. 13 Years Later is a stand alone favorite.. It competes with Somehow Satan Got Behind me, but both rank behind Jose Chung. All three of those episodes I put outside the competition, as they are tension relievers and in a category of their own. Skull And bones competes with Goodbye To All That On the flip side, I can't decide which episodes would be my least favorite either. There are a lot of them I don't like, more than ones I like... The only one I know is the last of the last is the Loin one... Second to last might be Goodbye Charlie. Not sure. I really didn't like th eone about the kid visiting the funerals either. And where do I put the Pilot? I loved parts of it. Hated parts of it. But it is THE episode that introduces us to the Black family. I may work on it, if ever I get the chores caught up around here. My lazy nature says that might not happen, but if it does, I'll surely share!
  17. Look at all that feminine energy. Definitely an episode for the women of Millennium. Anyway, If Butler should be in one, I'd think that was the one. She could have been a fly in the ointment, helping to egg the shooter on, or leading the girls out into the woods to do their thing, a teacher whispering in Catherine's ear to egg the disagreement on between her and Lara.... Maybe at the end of the episode, she could walk by and casually whisper to Catherine to "Say Hello to Frank for me" ....Lots to work with there.
  18. Maybe she could have lent her energy to the episode " Anamnesis."
  19. The local grocery has some meat, and some eggs, but the prices are double. Some bread, I didn't check pricing. The fresh produce looks rotted. Then again, it's that way half the time anyway. No toilet paper, no disinfectant, But plenty of some of the foods I like that no one else does.
  20. I'll have to check it out. I hope to watch this miniseries again, too. I saw in the news that fires in the exclusion zone are causing radiation levels to spike. Also, PBS had a documentary out about the animals in the exclusion zone. I watched it some years ago, and it was surprising.
