O.K. We all need a good dose of Millennium.
Frank Black Jr replied to Raven Wolf's topic in MillenniuM Discussion
Tv shows have always shown close ups when something happened to an important character of a show. For example (spoiler alert TWD) the most near that comes to my mind is Glen´s death. They show him yes, but not in a clear way...like they did with the poor Noah or the rest that have died. So for me, it was clear that he wasn't dead. The same here. If they didn't show it is because they might not be sure if it was a good idea to have him killed specially keeping in mind that they were ending the season. The same with Lara. We know she got mental but that was it. So, if someone had an idea for her, they could bring her back and add a backup story. Peter the same. If Fox wanted now a new season and the new writer wants Terry, they could bring him back with an explanation. Aaanywayyyy...I took a few snaps from the last episode. When Frank went to Peter´s home to kill him because of Jordan´s video, I got to say that Peter´s clothes looked too much alike of the dead guy had in the last scene. Today, if I had to vote, I think I will change my vote for dead. The trousers and the shoes look the same. Too bad... -

The only thing that doesn't fit is the position of the body. Because first I thought: they were eating...Peter heard something, got near the window to see and bang, the family got scared and then they MG killed the rest...but the position of the body wouldn't be like that. It's clear that something unexpected happened if we see the table mess. One that could work is: they were eating and someone entered Peter's office. He heard him, got up entered and struggled with the guy and ended up killing him. He came back, gathered his family and run. And then, gave Frank the briefcase. That is the key for me to justify the theory that Watts is alive. The briefcase. What? Are you telling me that after giving Frank the briefcase as a warning to escape, he thought: I'm tired...I'm going home to have a soup...". Come on! Even before giving Frank the warning - if he confirmed that the Mg were after them- Watts surely bought airplane tickets to Figgi to get the hell of out Seattle. -

I don´t think there is actually a Blu Ray version of Millennium. The pic is a capture from the regular dvds :)

that episode was something for the fans...to see Frank and Jordan together and alive. That was kind of the idea. Let´s keep our finger cross for maybe a clue of Frank in the new X-Files episodes...maybe the last one...who knows... btw: this is the nerdiest pic I've ever posted hahaha. It´s from Frank Pc, when Catherine was looking for something for Frank and Peter came out and turned the connection off (Luminary episode)

First I thought who knows...maybe he decided to stay home knowing what was going to happen to him in order to protect his family -sacrifice himself for them...but the room was kind of a mess. The clothing doesn't count because it passed time from the last time we saw Peter talking in the woods with Frank.

actually it is about to be the 20th anniversary. The pilot was aired in 1996...time flies... Though I agree with you seethru, gotta say that what Lance said took me by surprise, especially the detail of the gun that was used...that means that it was clearly written. Too bad. I liked Peter Watts character.

I totally understand you Smoke Psd and Lance too about being annoyed when they changed the idea of the show. Anyway, I enjoyed most episodes of the 2 season -except for the funny episodes- because I found very interesting all the mystique part of the show and also the idea of a group of people gathering power to control the world along the years. Still today that is something that happens, and therefore we all suffer (you can see it easy with media control). I didn't enjoy it that much when it turned too graphic, like the virgin appearance or some episodes of Lucy B (though, she was always great with Lance. There was something there between them). For me that wasn't scary at all. Maybe the idea of evil works better when you know is there somewhere but it doesn't have a form so your fear enters to the equation to trick your mind and then things starts to happen. I agree that if there wasn't for that shift, the show would turn into "the killer of the week" and got boring after 1 season, like CSI did. Also, maybe they tried to achieve so much things...relationships, the apocalypse, conspiracies, human mind, evil etc...in so little time that sometimes things got right and others got out of hands, like the 3 season. I think it has great episodes and others not so good. But for me, the interesting ones were when the MG and Watts were involved. If that happened, you would have a great story and Lance acting more accurate. -

I think this kind of show has always things that make U said: "huh? Why?", specially when you have a lot of people writing episodes and the head of the show (Chris Carter) is absent. Sometimes great stuff came up, sometimes...you know haha. (recently I found somewhere a site that actually had a lot of episodes dubbed in Russian). I think Frank needed help with his gift because he knew that if he couldn't control it, he would go insane (like he did in the past) and then, would lose his family for good. That´s why he seeked the MG. Catherine was the only one that knew that something was wrong with them (maybe Jordan too). And the MG knew that they needed a weak Frank so he would join them. That`s why Catherine was killed. Frank was stronger with her on his side. In that case, he wouldn't do some of the things that the MG would ask him to do. If he was weaker (without Catherine), it would be easier to break him. And they did it for a while. When Frank got suspicious with the MG, all hell broke lose and he ended up losing everything. He was alone fighting to recover Jordan costedy. I think Lara needed the MG because she knew she couldn´t resist any longer the overwhelming power of her gift. If U think about it, she has nothing to lose. She was kind of doom anyway. I guess we change with time...that is why maybe you focus on different things every time you watch it. I think that proves that the show is a good piece of art...you know...something that makes you think or feel different things every time you see it. -

thanks seethru! The episode is "Exegesis" and the audio is from the last part when Frank is talking to Hollis and then he bought a butterfly for Jordan. The episode ends with Lance´s voice, Frank playing with Jordan and if I don´t recall badly, the little girl that was left with the old woman (who was kind of an oracle, or something...don´t know the right world...that the government use to spy...) taking an airplane. -
Hi Millennium freaks! haha. I leave U a very small clip that I did. Each time I saw a begining of an episode with the quotes, I remembered an intro of a song and thought "it would be great for this show". So, I did something with it. Here it is. the link in youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmIYK_99m9I&feature=em-upload_owner or if U want to see it in better quality, here is the link to download it. It does it in about 5 minutes. https://we.tl/CQiEJeHIg1 (hurry because it only for a few days) Hope U all had a great 2015 and a better 2016. aLejandro (Frank Jr) ps1: get Well soon Darlene!!! ps2: have you all noticed the homage that Millennium did to the movie "The Omen" in that episode that Lucy Buttler is a nanny? Funny thing is Lance worked in "The Omen 2"

Hey Libby! Well...here it is :) I still think they had nothing to do with the show. It doesn't matter if Larry David or Woody Allen come with a script for Millennium. It is simple not the nature of the show and that, has no point of return. If you create a show like Millennium, you just can´t show me a character like Frank for 1 year...a guy who was determined to be surrounded by complete darkness just to learn how he can protect his family, a guy who has the will to stand for what he believes is right, the depth of his fears which everybody can relate with, how he ends up losing his family, the horror of the human mind and society and then have a freaking demon dancing or demons eating donuts in a coffe shop. Am I watching a Simpsons Halloween episode? Or a character that makes fun of Frank. Wow, now I guess I must be watching a Seinfeld episode. For me, that is the definition of bad writers. The basic of good writing is to understand the show and how the characters are. If U don´t follow that rule, you have nothing. So, all that they build all the credibility that Frank had, all that they sold me were lost in those episodes. You just can´t have "the hand of St Sebastian" one week and then do that Twister Sister episode with the goofy guy that censors shows and shots Mulder. What was that? Wth am I watching? All changes of the show, the spiritual episodes, conspiracies, etc...ok...fine: why? because Frank was the same, Catherine was the same, Watts was the same, etc...yes, there might be some little twists in the characters but the world, the scenario and its rules were the same. To resume, because I can go on and be even more boring than this :P haha, do the following: watch "Jose Chung...", "some how the devil..." and the other with Kiss. Then, watch the "pilot" or (I don´t know) "The Thin White Line", "Luminary" (My God...Luminary) or one with the twist of the MG like "Skull and Bones" or "The Innocents" for example. And then tell me if it is the same show. If those, episodes really are in the same world. Anyway, here is something that I found special...Long story short: Lance´s facebook announced that there would be a new podcast with Lance...so everybody sent questions...I did it and of course, it was about the show. They publicated the interview recently and...they asked Lance my question :P That´s is not really the point of me writing this. The point is Lance´s answer about Peter Watts. Here it is. The full podcast is still in Lance´s facebook. And it has some very funny moments. Enjoy! This is for U Earthnut! Welcome BACK!! Lance MG.mp3

Frank The Course of Empire
Frank Black Jr commented on Frank Black Jr's gallery image in Millennium Art
The painting by Thomas Cole The Course of Empire is a five-part series of paintings created in the years 1833–36. I use the the fourth painting named "Destruction". This is from wikipedia: A direct source of literary inspiration for The Course of Empire paintings is Byron's Childe Harold's Pilgrimage (1812–18). Cole quoted this verse, from Canto IV, in his newspaper advertisements for the series:[2] There is the moral of all human tales; 'Tis but the same rehearsal of the past. First freedom and then Glory – when that fails, Wealth, vice, corruption – barbarism at last. And History, with all her volumes vast, Hath but one page... And that for me sounded "Millennium" so, I use it :-)
