  2. Anamnesis is one of my favourite episodes. I rewatch it usually on the 22nd of July as this is the feast day of St Mary of Magdalene.

    https://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=83

And I just realised today that in the episode they say that that Clare was born on July 22nd - which is the feast day of St. Mary of Magdalene - I am completely amazed to pick this only up now after so many years and rewatches.

    "LARA: Arrived July 2nd, 1982."

Though in the script it says 2nd of July - might the admin perhaps check - perhaps I just mishear it - and if applicable fix that in the script?
Perhaps also adding those factoid as a reference there:

This episode made me reading the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, Narnia, most of the Pullman books, Elaine Pagel's the Gnostic Gospels etc and also how I picked my nick for the internet in the late 90's.

Some related Music to the topic 😉

  3. Hello,

https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2018/12/04/comet-46-p-wirtanen-zoom-across-night-sky-next-week/2205179002/ - this years "Star of Bethlehem"

led me back to Episode "the Beginning and the End"  and its intro https://millennium-thisiswhoweare.net/downloads/audio/life-of-a-comet-the-beginning-and-the-end - the Life of a Comet

The intro has two art pieces - one is the Nativity - the second one was easy identifiable for me as the Bayeux Tapestry https://www.precinemahistory.net/bayeux.htm

Can anyone identify though the Nativity scene painting?

Moreover has anyone an idea where I can find background music of "the Life of a Comet" intro?

Some interpretation/ coincidence  from my side on the Intro - it starts with "In Number, there is one for every life which ever was..."

Numbers 24:17 reads:  "I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth."

    Thank you

  4. Thanks - Millennium was one of my favorite series during my time as a teenager.

I tried to search the picture via TinEye as well but  no result showed up - possibly as well because of the quality and the angle in the end.

Many paintings are without a copyright - so I am not sure of its origin.

Tried as well to find below picture at the entry of Peters study room - but also with no results.

  5. Hi

first thank you for identifying the pictures here

    https://millennium-thisiswhoweare.net/guide/episodes/articles/211/23/anticipating-a-change-examining-peter-watts-collection-of-artwork/

There is a second page from the Book of Hours hanging over the fire which is obscured by a vase. I am pretty sure that that page hanging there is April https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Les_Très_Riches_Heures_du_duc_de_Berry_avril.jpg

As you can see the building vaguely on the right and in one shot vaguely the man in the blue garment.

The choice of April could be interpreted in a way as there are theories out there that Jesus was born in April and Peter is stating that the day Jesus was born is unknown.

    From the Article:

Then Peter stands in front of the fireplace for a while, and he probably gazes at Nativity when he says "Imagine that: Christ wasn't even born on this day, maybe not even 1,997 years ago. So no one knows for sure when the millennium really begins and ends. Or how much time is left."

A possibility is that Peter is gazing on both pictures - the Nativity painting  and on the April Calendar painting.

Was anyone able to identify so far the yellow (wheat?) field painting:

And the painting when Frank is entering Peter's study room?

    Thanks
