  1. While I didn't laugh at it, something I felt was silly was Steven Kiley singing in "Goodbye Charlie". That was a bit much.
  2. Maybe it is. I did get my info from Wikipedia.
  3. Why is that funny? Too on the nose? Side note: Maybe I don't think the "Pilot" moment I mentioned belongs here, though admittedly it is a bit silly when you think about it.
  4. Got it. I didn't really recognize any "ripped from the headlines" qualities in "Covenant" while watching it (though I did learn it was inspired by Susan Smith by reading about it on Wikipedia), and I'm guessing, from what I know about "19:19" (I haven't seen the second and third seasons yet), it's based on the 1976 Chowchilla kidnapping. As for the end, well, you got me. I'm guessing the media didn't know, or maybe they covered it up so they wouldn't look bad. I don't know, though. I haven't seen it in a while. Also, I myself did like the episode.
  5. "Pilot": Frank simply saying the killer sees the world differently. "Covenant": The fact that one of the victims is named Mary Garry.
  6. I've seen Office Space. I want to see We're the Millers. But this wasn't what I was talking about.
  7. What's wrong with ripped from the headlines stories? Also, I thought the end was showing that Dees got the fame he so desperately desired, and the news media wasn't aware that they were giving him what he wanted.
  8. Gotcha. Honestly, I liked "the hubby wife dynamic". It would have been really nice had the husband not been a serial killer, IMO.
  9. Why? I mean, to me, that seems like an extreme reason to dislike an episode.
  10. Personally, I liked this episode. But I see it's rather unpopular. Why is that?
  11. Oh. I was actually thinking of the movies titled "Horrible Bosses". I did see some of 9 to 5 a while ago.
  12. I wasn't really fond of this episode, personally. Maybe I might like it more on a rewatch. Also, did anyone else feel kinda bad for Gilroy? I know he was complete and utter scum, but he was kidnapped, held in a car trunk, possibly shot (I forgot if that happened), and left to drown while held in said car trunk. That's some pretty awful stuff. I feel like it might not be too crazy, given Lamentation, where Dr. Fabricant went through such horrors that someone who knew about and was disgusted by his crimes was disturbed.
  13. I know that they're not the usual kind of movies talked about on these forums, but I wanted to express myself on the forums and share the love I have for these movies (especially the first one).
  14. Thank you, seesthru! It's funny you mention Broken World, since that's the last episode I saw (I only have the last disc of the season 1 set to go).
  15. Hi. I just registered today. I've been watching this show for a few weeks (on DVD), and I've almost finished the first season. I really like it so far and I'm excited to be part of the community.
