I thought only two versions of WAR OF THE WORLDS were coming out (one is the low budget version from Pendragon Pictures and the other is the big budget version directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise), but a third version (known as WOTW or INVASION) starring C. I saw HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY for the second time and bought my advance ticket for the 4 pm Thursday matinee of REVENGE OF THE SITH.

I watched the Unrated Extended Director's Cut this morning. The movie is creepy, but now it is even more creepier. The alternate ending (one of the deleted scenes) is very creepy. The climax has tons of stuff not in the US theatrical version. I watched the movie with the subtitles from the commentary track (while having the movie's audio on as I didn't think I had time to watch the movie while listening to the Japanese that was translated into English subtitles for the commentary track). The audio commentary is very revealing about the differences between the DC and the TC, and it is very funny to read what is being said. Now I have the featurettes and deleted scenes to watch.

I watched some Western called LUST FOR GOLD tonight (more on ti when I write the review next week). I have two DVDs on the wya soon. Another one is hopefully on the way too. Then I have three DVDs screaming for my attention which I have bought used (actually I trade 4 DVDs for two of them and bought the third one). I watched TAKING LIVES son Suunday. it starred the always fascinating Angelina Jolie. She might be neat to have as a friend, but I would never want to fall in love with her and marry her.
