I watched part of MIMIC SENTINEL and releazied it is just Rear Window with giant killer cockroaches and Lance Henrikson.

It was the best BATMAN movie ever. I want to see it again and can't wait for the sequel. Too bad they ddin't have the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul in the movie. The new Batmobile is an unstoppable monster. Bam! Great acting, good script, and a good music score. More thoughts later when I post my review at ENTERLINE MEDIA.

I saw the 10 minute preview for BATMAN BEGINS last night after the Smallville season finale. I was blown away. if it lives up to the hype, it will make the Tim Burton directed BATMAN films look like mindless fluff. Is it June 15th yet?I'm five hours from watching REVENGE OF THE SITH.

It's midnight. No one is lurking TIWWA. I trying to work more on my sci-fi novel before I go off to catch some zzz's. Today, I was watching a couple of old black and white films on DVD: WE WERE STRANGERS (1949) and BEHOLD A PALE HORSE (1964). Both were interesting even though I give the lead to WE WERE STRANGERS since it's drama was intense. One of my favorite parts is the last 15 minutes. Talk about a finish to a movie. It is my view, this movie is a little seen classic.No, BEHOLD A PALE HORSE has nothing to do with Millennium or the Apocalypse. https://imdb.com/title/tt0042035/

I finally got the French sci-fi movie, IMMORTEL, to watch. It is an interesting sci-fi movie so far. I watched half of it on Friday before I went away for the weekend. I was watching this Korean movie about two brothers who are drafted into the Korean Army to fight against teh North Koreans at the start of the Korean War. The battle scenes are brutal and realistic as anything you will see in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and BAND OF BROTHERS. The Korean War looks to be more brutal than anything seen in those movies and TV shows that covered World War 2. The DVD will be out on Feb 15, 2005 in the USA. I will watch the extras and have a DVD Review up at ENTERLINE MEDIA by Friday or Monday. Off to finish the DVD Review of THE GRUDGE.

I finally watched NEW ROSE HOTEL the other night. It is based on a short story by William Gibson. Anyway, the movie is directed by Abel Ferrara. Fox(Christopher Walken) and X (Willem Dafoe) recruit a hooker named Sandii (the beautiful and talented Asia Argento) to seduce a scientist, Hiroshi (Yoshitaka Amano), to get him to defect to another corporation that wants his talents. Now to the grit of the movie. NEW ROSE HOTEL is one weird movie. Christopher Walken watched lesbian porn (that is what I'm calling it since he is seeing video of two women making out) and Willem Dafoe gets laid (Sandii and sone Asian hookers). The fault of this movie is it seems that Abel ran out of footage to shot and thus the last 20 minutes becomes a loop of scenes from earlier in the movie. It just goes to show that even some of the most interesting directors and actors can be in movies that end up being a mess.
