Happy Birthday, Mr Chris Carter! Come on, you knew this right? 1013? Ten Thirteen? Chris Carter, creator and executive producer of Millennium (and before it, another popular show you may possibly have heard of) was born on 13th October 1956 in Bellflower, California, USA. https://millennium-thisiswhoweare.net/guide/crew/profiles/chris-carter (Also the birthday of Graham/The Old Man's sister, Andrea!)

I didn't see where anyone has put up this topic, yet. Is anyone bothering with the X-Files anymore? I haven't seen tonight's episode (6) yet, but so far, it's been a much better season than last and I'm really enjoying it. A really nice hybridization of mythology and stand alone stories and much more tightly written. Car chases and voice overs maybe too long, but I don't want to nitpick. I should probably sign up at some X-Files site somewhere to discuss it, but by the time I get to it, the show will be over! So sad:(

Hopefully this isn't deemed entirely inappropriate--the tangential relationship here obviously being Chris Carter. I didn't see the actual screening of the upcoming X-Files miniseries, but this trailer has my interest piqued. I worry a bit about the "loosely based" on Alex Jones and Glenn Beck, but I like political intrigue and conspiracy theory in story. That show, along with Millennium, could be even better today than they were back then, I think. Looking forward to it. https://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/11/x-files-revival-conspiracy

Chris has been interviewed by the Vancouver Sun. (Very sad to learn why he was in Vancouver two weeks before, it seems Millennium's First Assistant Director had passed away, Jack Hardy who had made an active and admirable career... I can't find any information relating to his passing, so haven't updated his profile in the Episode Guide yet.) ... Series creator talks about Vancouver and B.C.s role in making the show a hit Interview By Francois Marchand, Vancouver Sun April 28, 2015 10:38 AM The truth is simple: Chris Carter loves Vancouver. The creator of hit sci-fi show The X-Files is coming back to the B.C. coast this week to be the special guest at a private Vancouver International Film Festival Industry event being held on National Canadian Film Day on April 29. Carter arguably opened the provinces doors to American television and film artists when he decided to shoot The X-Files in Vancouver and B.C. for its first five seasons, before taking the show back to California. The recently announced reboot of the series, consisting of six new episodes featuring most of the original cast and crew (including David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI agents Mulder and Scully), will be shot in Vancouver later this year. It will air on Fox in 2016. To celebrate National Canadian Film Day, VIFF will also be screening six Canadian films at the Vancity Theatre: Kris Elgstrands Songs She Wrote About People She Knows and Andrew Huculiaks Violent (both from B.C.), as well as critically acclaimed films by Xavier Dolan (Mommy), Robert Cohen (Being Canadian), Mars Horodyski (Bens At Home) and Kyle Thomas (The Valley Below). Tickets for the six-film event can be purchased at viff.org. The Vancouver Sun chatted with Carter via phone about his forthcoming VIFF Industry appearance, the return of The X-Files to B.C., and how truly Canadian the hit sci-fi series really is. Amazon is showing pilots for two new series which are showing for free on Amazon this month. One is BOSCH based on the Detective Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I3MPDP4/ref=sr_1_1_vod_1_pur_epi?ie=UTF8&keywords=bosch&qid=1392594314&s=instant-video&sr=1-1 The other one (that I still need to watch) is the pilot for a new series by Chris Carter called THE AFTER: https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-HD/dp/B00I3MP3SG/ref=sr_1_1_ha?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1392594445&sr=1-1&keywords=the+after I really loved BOSCH and i hope they make more episodes because I would buy this show on blu-ray. I love the Harry Bosch novels and the pilot for the tv series captures the show and it takes elements from two novels (one being Concrete Blond and the other being City of Bones). has anyone else watched these pilots on Amazon?

Millennium re-watching on the horizon?
voidprime posted a blog entry in The Dark Corner of the Universe
I am thinking I should take the time to watch Millennium from the beginning this summer along with a full reviewing of Battlestar Galactcia. Does anyone watch to watch those episodes with me in tandem wherever they are at and discuss as we make it through the seasons of Millennium and Battlestar Galactcia. PS I wish Fox would get a third X-Files movie made and do a Frank Black movie (before Lance and Terry are gone from this Earth). PSS I should post more often in this blog. lol.- 3 comments
