NO!  This is terrible news!  The link to the page is still on the FUX main page, but it only sends you to a page for their DVD sales (not even of XF, just all FOX's DVDs).  I'm seriously devastated!  I mean, I know it hadn't had any updates like since the show was cancelled, but still!  That was one of my final handles!  First XFMusic, now this... what is the world coming to?  Okay, now they HAVE to come out with the MM DVDs as soon as possible to make up for this.  This day now officially TOTALLY sucks instead of just mostly.  Someone, remind me of reasons to be happy and optimistic... I'm feeling depressed, for the first time this school year, and things just aren't working for me anymore.  The curse is getting stronger, too, to take out TXF site all the way from the Internet.

P.S. It is a shame that the X-Files site is gone.   We can't even trust FOX to keep it up (at least until they releas every season on DVD).

Regarding the situation of the official site being closed down, may I suggest to everyone the book and accompanying Onan-O-Tape, "How To Be Happy, Even When You Shouldn't."  However, you should first use the Onan-O-Tape, "How to Control Your Homicidal Rage."

And if all else fails, may I suggest an extended Onan-O-Graph session using, "How To Not Feel Downbeat and Dark Toward Certain American Broadcasting Networks, Even When You Should."

Seriously, sorry to hear you are experiencing a bit of depression.  Is it just the basic adjustment type of things... like okay, new semester, new people, exciting, cool... then it wears off and there's all the study, work, early classes, etc?  You mentioned that things just aren't working for you - are you feeling disconnected, or has something not worked out the way you had plan, or what is going on?  You are always welcome to PM or e-mail me.

Seriously, this really sux big time!  There was a lot of great information on the official site, as well as lots of other things.  Very sad.  If it were any other network or organization, I would be surprised that they have done this, given the popularity and fan base of the show.  However, such completely illogical, stupid, and ludicrous actions are quite natural and normal when it comes to this particular network.

Does anyone know some of the fan sites that are good resources, besides The XFs Timeline, October 13th, and The XFs Injokes site?

well, at least I got a couple of the off. episode guides I bought from WaldenBooks (they were bargain books) and some X-Files articles/reviews in various magazines I have.

Yeah, I have a whole bunch of XF books... but I guess this is just like if I lost my favorite one of them (okay, don't know that I have a favorite, but you get my meaning).  I've always liked my stuff, and they just stole some of it.  ::sigh::  But, I suppose, just like the sting of the show's downfall and demise, this too shall pass.

LOL, props for sounding like an Onan-O-Graph.  Mainly just had a bad day yesterday, and then I got a really rude and uncalled-for e-mail from a girl I know, and I was in the middle of answering as I was checking the site.  Probably going to see her today, though, so I can throw her off a building then.     If things don't clear up, then you can count on that e-mail.

My favorite is Inside the X, which is all episode transcripts.  XFRoadrunners is another good one -- I don't know what all's on there as I generally use it for its great episode captures.  Oh my gosh, and I just found out from them that XFMusic is now back online!  New URL, though:  https://www.thexfilesmusic.com/.  That's good news, at least.  Oh no, says that she lost pretty much all of her files when her old server screwed up and deleted everything, but she's working on getting things back.  That totally sucks for her.
