Hmmm, I will have to choose between studying and Harsh Realm... It's so difficult! :bogie:

Wow, Frank L, I never had you pegged as a student. Isn't it funny the images we have of people in our heads when we haven't seen them? Don't know why, maybe it's your mature writing style, but I figured you for about mid 30s. I see in your profile that you were born the same year I graduated from high school, so that does indeed put you at college age. Speaking of college, I prefer pro football, but I am salivating at the thought of the college football season starting today. Go Blue!!! (U of M). :oneeyedwinK

I just started my last year and hopefully I'll get my diploma at the end of this school year. After 17 years of education I've had more than enough of it.

Yes, you're right... the images of people in our heads aren't always correct. I've read your profile a few times, but I still figured you for 20-25. And we do have a lot of things in common. I just read your profile again... MillenniuM and The X-Files ofcourse, music, long walks, animals, nature. And I like to look at it as well, instead of hunting it down. I guess we lost our primal instincts...

School is a great thing, educating us and helping to mold our futures, but like you said, 17 years of it is plenty. Just out of curiosity, what is your major/school, if you don't mind me asking? I can see where you might perceive me to be younger than I am, given the fact that I do plenty of goofing around here and that you don't have a visual picture of me and my bald head. Well, actually not bald, but kind of like Peter Watts. And yes, my primal instinct is completely gone, and the modern life style allows me to enjoy and cherish nature and animals and let someone else kill my meat for me. :oneeyedwinK

Well, after high school I didn't know what kind of education I wanted. I didn't know what job I wanted. I still don't. So I decided to choose something broad. Communication. With this you can do many things, like public relations, commercials, journalism, spokesman (for example for the police). But I'm not even sure I want to go down that road. First I hope to get my diploma, and then I'll see what I run into.

Yes, this seems to be a great major as far as keeping your options open and looking for that dream job. A friend of mine majored in Communications and is now doing very well at a large Casino in Vegas as a public relations person.

Wow, Vegas. It's a long way from home for me, but... you never know.

Has anybody watched Harsh Realm yet? 'Cause there's a time difference between me and the most of you guys. I think there's 6 hours between you and me, MIB. I already watched it.

Like that guy from the movie 'Fallen' sings: Time is on my side. Yes, it is!

I'll have to catch up during the week. Couldn't get the tapes you gave me today.

Please do! I hope it catches one with others.

I am sure you made the right choice! LOL! I remember those choices well! I am a PSU alumnus (Penn State Univ).

It truly is funny how our minds drum up an image or persona of a person, unless you actually read their profile. I mean, I don't do it all that time, but often my mind just comes up with something, even if it is a faint association with something. And, as your indicated, it often is based upon the writing style or subject matter that a member writes about that determines the image.

Speaking of college, I prefer pro football, but I am salivating at the thought of the college football season starting today. Go Blue!!! (U of M). :oneeyedwinK

"It's first and eighteen..." Go Nittany Lions!!!

It is indeed great to be educated, in fact I think it is one of the most important things in life. And I truly enjoyed the life style and atmosphere of university life. However, at some point, I needed to be done with institutions of education, and continue educating myself.

And, yes, my primal instinct is completely gone, and the modern life style allows me to enjoy and cherish nature and animals and let someone else kill my meat for me. :oneeyedwinK

LOL! Truly unfortunate! I wish there were more hunting and killing of our own food. Reason and instinct could make human animals great. Instead, most people prefer being deranged monkeys in self constructed zoos (© Scott L. Pugliese, a.ka. Selfosophy Psycho). I truly wish hunting, fighting, survival, self-preservation, and self-interest arts were part of the curriculum of most education programs. If they were, I don't think we would have tired as quickly of institutional education! LOL!
