I found this at Comingsoon.net:

Veteran actor Lance Henriksen has become the first actor cast in Alien vs. Predator, Fox's upcoming matchup between two cult characters. Henriksen played Bishop in the previous "Alien" films.

Henriksen will portray a billionaire industrialist who finances an expedition to the Antarctic to uncover an ancient pyramid and insists on joining the scientists on the journey. When they arrive, they discover two alien races engaged in the ultimate battle.

Paul W.S. Anderson is helming the film written by Shane Salerno and Anderson. Shooting begins late October in Prague.

Pretty exciting.  There is a teaser trailer as well as a few posters.  My apologies if this has been posted already.

Hi,

I was very jubious about this project but having seen the intensity and vision of the producer during the featurette my fears have been somewhat rested. I could understand the Predators arriving on Earth, but as for Aliens getting here I didn't realise they had technology, I guess they caught a lift. Wasn't this the big concern within the Alien Movies though? What would happen if they reached Earth? I always thought that would make a great Aliens Movie as opposed to the dismall third and fourth movies. For me the second was always my favourite. Its why S:AAB was such a hit for me... "God has a hardon for marines, because they kill everything they see".

Accordinging to this link, Ain't It Cool are concerned about the script. If filming has now commenced in Prague, I would have guessed the script would have been finalised by now.

Plot Summary: The director told us the film opens 5000 years ago at an Aztec temple. We are told the temples throughout the world were created for the purpose of welcoming "aliens" to earth... and a team of teenaged Predators are at the temple for a "becoming a man" ritual, where if they survive a host of deadly Aliens they will become men, well Predators. Everything goes wrong and the three Predators face literally an army of thousands of aliens at the temple and faced with certain death they activate their self-destructs, completely destroying the aliens, the temple and any of the local inhabitants. Fast forward to the present day as a band of scientists in the Arctic find a very similar temple and are soon caught in the middle of another "ritual" with five young Predators and a bunch of nasty Aliens.

One of the best things about this movie is that Lance has landed a premier lead role in a what will undoubtably be a major Summer blockbuster. Good for him.

Yes he has. I'm glad for him. This might hurl him into bigger and better movie roles. Then we'll see alot more of him.
