Guest betweenthelines Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 In 'Midnight of the Century' Frank makes peace with his dad and finds out he's destined to die soon (which doesn't happen until 'The Fourth Horseman'). Between those episodes, do you think they started talking again? It was pretty clear, at least to me, that they finally acheived some sort of closure over their past. Also I don't remember any lines of dialogue explicitly stating they never saw each other again, so maybe the two started to become close over the months.

I agree that Frank seemed to finally understand and accept why his father acted as he did toward his mother even if he didn't agree that it was best. As you say, in 'Midnight...' Frank and Jordan saw the "shades" of the people who will pass on in the near future and saw his father among them and, while nothing more was ever mentioned on this, I think Frank knew that he had only a very short time to reconnect with his father. I would presume he made an effort to. I would have to guess that he did introduce Jordan to his father as well although that's never detailed in any way either. She did seem to understand in her child's way that the little angel ceramic piece meant more to Frank's father than he might have ever said to her since she brought it to put on his grave site.
HighPlainsDrifter Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 i thought that Frank and his dad did have closure, but its too bad that there wasnt more episodes with Henry until his death. Makes me speculate the stories in between until his death.
4th Horseman Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 i thought that Frank and his dad did have closure, but its too bad that there wasnt more episodes with Henry until his death. Makes me speculate the stories in between until his death. since there was no further reference to their relationship until "The Fourth Horseman", i would assume it would be implied that there had been some kind of contact maintained, although after MOTC it would not have really lent itself to the MillenniuM story line....Man, i miss Darrin McGavin...just got done watching all of the origional epis of The Night Stalker and it was a trip down a very sad, melancholy road... 4th Horseman..
Elders (Moderators) Viivi Posted October 16, 2006 Elders (Moderators) Posted October 16, 2006 There's one tiny reference to Frank and his father spending some time together, and Jordan and Henry getting to know each other. This is from the transcript for Anamnesis: [Emma Shetterly's office – day. Vice Principal Emma Shetterly enters her office and sits down at her desk, opposite of Catherine.] EMMA: I can't thank you enough for taking time away from your family to help me out with this, Cath. CATHERINE: I'd do anything for you. Besides, it gives Jordan and Frank some time to spend with Frank's dad.
