Guest LauraKrycek
I don't know about the next Bond, but I propose Laura Krycek for the next Bond heroine. Who's with me? Aw LOL, well, thank'ye. I'd love to be able to play one, as long as I could kick major butt. None of that willowy-damsel stuff for me. While trying to think of who should play the next Bond, somehow Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, if you don't know) popped into my head. Probably just because he's the only dark-haired British actor that I know of right now (no, Alan Rickman ::sigh:: doesn't count ... and I don't think that Hugh Grant could pull this one off. Guest se7en
....even though i said i didn't want to contemplate another Bond actor something just struck me-(no,not a hamme!)-and all kinds of bells went off-(AGAIN,no,not a hammer)-but i could absolutely see Adrian Paul-(Duncan Macleod in the "Highlander" series)-being Bond. He's now the right age,he's got the accent, the look-(if his hair is short)-certainly the acting chops and DEFINITELY the physicality for the part. Hmmmmm- ..maybe i should call Michael G.Wilson and Barbara Broccoli over at EON productions? ~se7en

Hmmmmm- ADRIAN PAUL! ::sigh:: He was one of my first TV crushes, back in the day. My brother watched "Highlander" ALL the time, and I'd watch it just to look at Adrian Paul. I'd totally back a Bond movie with him in it.

Guest Wellington
Hi Isn't he Canadian? He does not look British by his stance or manners (written by a non specialist of britishness). Something makes me think that Paul's performance would be more like Lazenby's: lacking salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar... But probably a Bond by the book... I liked Highlander but Duncan's character was a bit monolithic and was not really improved for the 4th film. (Just an opinion, not even deserving to be a statement - in case someone would like to write my biography through my words...) Regards
Guest PROVO_SIX
I thought that it was too much like a bunch of guys were sitting around going "Ooh... but then she can take off her clothes and have a bikini under it and jump off a cliff!" and "Ooh -- but then, she's trapped inside, and the big diamond-powered sattelite thingy can start to melt the walls -- can Bond save her?" Like a fanfic or something, almost. Your observation is very very humorous. Odd duck that I can be, there are so many nude and sex scenes that just do not belong in many movies. Heck...I like a great movie that I can say, "there's nothing I would change about it." Along those lines...Brave Heard, Matrix, and Apocalypse Now (none of that Redux crap). ...sorry for showing up late to the discussion.

Regards ....nope,Adrian Paul is british-(or in the general vicinity!). in the S2,and S3 box sets-(S3-box set just got here 2-days ago and was released on tuesday, i have not started watching yet)-Paul does both Audio and Video comentary for certain eps and he's definately british sounding to me. and the comentaries were done near where he lives just outside of london(?)-somewhere. i'm at a loss that you think the character od duncan was monolithic.(??) ..."TOO MUCH LIKE LAZENBY!!!!!!!!! ....lazenby had,and still has, no acting ability whatsoever while Paul is very accomplished in his profession.-(in my opinion of course) .....everything lazenby ever said always had that same, even, flat, monotone emotionless voice of his. -(can you tell i don't like him yet? ) ~se7en
Guest se7en
......speaking of this-(and boy is this topic now on the outer skirts of the universe! )-i'm off to polish of the last 4-5-eps of Highlander-S2 so i can get started on S3! ~se7en BTW: MM-director Thomas J. Wright directed several eps of highlander. only the ones that were shot in canada however. i don't believe he ever directed a highander ep in Paris. Guest Wellington
Hi If my memory serves me, he was a dancer before the series, wasn't he? Well Lazenby was selling cars, so you see the connection... (don't worry: neither do I... ) Nevertheless, you are right, I should not have such critics with so little in hands, but I would not see him making cameo appearances in a poor Emmanuelle series like the other guy. I think it was great that a good deal of the action took place in Paris and the surroundings. It opened the road for truckloads of clichés, but the town is a studio in itself. There was even an ep where the flashback showed Duncan in the 30s-40s, attending a hold-up in a bank inside a huge classic building (not much of a description, sorry). This building is in fact the main building of the international campus, with a theater, a pool, fencing rooms and the campus restaurant where I had supper every day in my final year of study. Excellent fresh pastas... Indeed, no one cares, but it is good to tell... Regards
