This morning I heard a radio ad for a local jewelry store trying to draw in the Christmas-gifters by offering so-called fine 5th Ave. (NY) jewelry at "pennies on the dollar." Most of the ad just wafted by without me really listening close until they said "we've bought the entire stock of the Fabricant Jewelers in NYC." This made the whole thing take on a totally different meaning for me, although I may be the only person in the whole metro area that even noticed the MM-connected name.
