I said this in another thread but I think it deserves it's own thread.

When Millennium Season 1 comes out on dvd; every member here had better buy a copy. If you don't that's just pathetic. As much as we've cried and begged to Fox and Peter Staddon, we had better make this mildly successful. I don't want to hear all the whiny excuses; "oh my doggy foofoo has the toe fungus, so I don't have the money now". We've all got plenty of time to save up for this. If you don't have the money you better start mowing lawns, washing dishes, cleaning houses. At the most this set is gonna cost $99.99 like the X-files sets(If you buy from BestBuy or Walmart). And for those without Dvd players; they're cheap now, you can get one at Walmart for $30. We spend time everyday on this message board, and if you can't pay a little bit to support our favorite tv show then that shows why it was canceled in the first place. I've already got the word out to people that have showed interest in the show in the past. Let's not let Fox and Staddon think this was a bad decision. Let's make this a success to pave the way for all seasons of Millennium and for Lone Gunmen, and Space:Above and Beyond. The future of these releases are going to be partly determined by sales of Millennium. Let's not leave a bad taste in Fox/Staddon's mouth over this one.

I promise, cross my heart and hope to die, that I will buy Sesaon 1 on DVD. If my mother were dead, I'd swear on her grave that I'd buy one. So you'll just have to accept my Brownie's honour promise (though I was never actually a brownie) that I will buy it even if it means that I don't eat for a fortnight.

I think Millennium Season One will be priced at $59.99 to $69.99 SRP.

I don't think FOX could get away with charging people as much as they charged them for the X-Files sets.

If the MLM DVD set is going to be that cheap, I'd buy a couple! I'm used to paying tons of money for TXF sets.

I literary cried when I got the email with that wonderful topic.

Yes, yes I'm quite sure I'll buy it.

And yeah, since Staddon said people were skeptical, I doubt they'll risk the whole affair by charging as much as they did for the X-files, for a series they don't even know is as popular.

But, eh. If there'll be a cheap-ass version and a collector's edition version of some sorts.... I'm buying the collector's. For sure.

Now then. Just a soundtrack and a feature film to go, and all my sorrows will be forgotten.

Sorry, but there will not be a cheap version and a collector's edition. TV to DVD set are usually one version since they cost so much anyway comapred to a single movie on DVD release. I think many DVD Collector's would be pissed if two editions of a TV on DVD set was offered.

Um, I plan on buying one, but there's no need to be so rude about it. I'm sure everyone here plans on getting it. But seriously... I get paid $4 an hour. Half of that gets taken away automatically every month to go towards my term bill, which will probably be about $800 for the spring term. And we're only allowed to do 140 hours every semester, no more, no less. You do the math, then add in necessities like groceries and toothpaste. Not good.

Not saying I won't get it, because I will as soon as I am able; I just thought that your delivery was pretty rude, because just because I have a computer and get online a lot doesn't mean I can afford to do so. My school paid for my computer, and I'm on both academic and financial scholarships to cover most of my school bills. I think it was the line about the dog that did it, though, because my dog is really really sick and we think he has a huge tumor in his side because he's all misshapen, but we can't even f***ing afford to take him to the vet to see what's the matter with him, because not even my parents can afford to take *themselves* to a doctor, let alone insurance. I'm sorry, but I'm really stressed and really tired and have had an absolutely dash-your-own-brains-out horrible day, and as much as I love MM, real life comes into play when I read stuff like that.

Clicking "post", despite my own sensibilities...
