Would you want to see a mini-series made of Millennium to carry on with the story left over from the end of the series in Goodbye to All That? When I had read the confirmation yesterday that Angel is being axed by the WB after it's fifth season it made me think that there should have been a 4th and 5th season of Millennium, despite reading that new quote, from Lance in the folder further down the folder index page.

....i would LOVE to see a miniseries of MM. my guess though is that the dvds would really have to make an impression,sales-wise,for that even to be a mere thought with Fox.

there are instances where a movie title sequel got greenlit based not on actual box office but rather on dvd-sales. in some cases a dvd will make or break a movie being just breaking even or being a money maker.

...i know we're talking television here but i think it still could apply. and if i had to choose between a movie version of MM or a much longer, but with an equall budget because TV is cheaper, miniseries then it's no question for me: i'd rather have a miniseries! ...and these days it would likely be shot in hi-def so it would be sort of like a watching a movie for those who have hi-def sets.(??)

...the ultimate fantasy for me would be this: for the DVDs to do well enough to justify a miniseries and then have the miniseries wrap things up proper-like and have that do well enough in ratings to then justify a standalone movie. THAT would be the ultimate for me! :smokin:

...one can dream.......and HOPE,

se7en,

I was reading your post as it went along and I liked it but it was the third paragraph which summed up the reasons for a continuation of Millennium. What you ended your post with was more optimistic than what was said by another poster on the board recently, that we shouldn't get to over-confident over a mini-series getting made.

I totally agree with what you say. :thumbsup_big:

I second that! :thumbsup_big::thumbsup_big: That would be a Millennium fan's dream come true! :praying_big::praying_big: A miniseries would be GREAT! And, maybe that'd get people interested again.

I'm sorry but I can no longer even entertain the thought. Too much time has passed for any MM resurrection to make me excited, official or not (Brian A. Dixon's MM comic book anyone?) Although I had given up hope on the DVDs....

well, this is what we tried to do with the Virtual Season 4... to some degree of sucess. But wether it ties the story up or not is irrelevent.. it would just be cool to see Frank kick evil ass again.. :)

You know, I like the way MM ended. I like the way they left it open ended. The feeling I got from 'Goodbye to All That' was that it was the end of Millennium as we know it, but their lives would go on. In a way, I think a follow up mini-series would cheapen it. I would absolutely LOVE to see a stand alone movie though.

There are too many loose ends for a mini-series not to be justified. I, myself, would prefer that the story were ended properly with a mini-series and that would be the end of it.
