Guest SouthernCelt
Primarily for X-Files fans-- Nicholas Lea (Alex Krycek on X-Files) has apparently been cast in a recurring minor role on CSI as Catherine Willows' (Marg Helgenberger) love interest. He's appeared briefly in two episodes (that I've seen) so his character's persona hasn't been well developed. Don't know if he'll be Krycek-devious , a straight-shooter , or something in between . I hated season 3 primarily becasue of the focus on her and her dreary daughter. it was hugely soap-y and melodramatic

VA-VA-VA-VOOM! ...i love the original CSI,always have, though i've never thought of it as being soapish(?). it's just fabulous. I endjoyed the miami spinoff in it's first year but now it's become glammed-up ,boring and at times unrealistic, especially when some of the female CSI's wear high-heels with thier hair hanging down over a freaking crime scene! -(UHHHH,I DON'T THINK SO!) .."CSI:N.Y.C."-has just been confirmed and THAT i do have high hopes for. -(good lord how does new york handle the sheer volume of shows being shot there???) ....but again, lucky Nicolas Lea! ~se7en
Guest chrisnu
I'm just glad to see Nic Lea on TV again. He looks great. Two bones to pick: 1) The original CSI has gotten just as soapy and unrealistic as the Miami spinoff. The first Nic Lea episode, "Early Rollout" was just awful. Just barely chugging along, and absolutely ridiculous, off-kilter characterization of all characters. Last night's episode "Getting Off" wasn't much better. I miss Seasons 1-2 badly. 2) Why New York? Don't we already have enough damn crime shows set in New York? We not choose a different location huh? Chicago? New Orleans? Los Angeles? Seattle maybe? PS. CSI: New York is going to be centered in New York, but filmed in Los Angeles? Why could it just be CSI:Los Angeles, and not have a New York crime show look nothing like New York? Guest se7en
.....with the exception of the "men/women in animal suits episode" i think this season is as great as always. ...thursday nights now are great for the one-two punch of CSI and then the superb WITHOUT A TRACE,and both in sweet sweet 16x9-HI-DEF. "ER"?...........BLAH!! ...CSI:mi"hamy" is shot entirely in miami. CSI,both CA. and Las Vegas,it's not out of the question that CSI:new york will be filmed there, but they very well could go the NYPD-BLUE route?? se7en

I hated season 3 primarily becasue of the focus on her and her dreary daughter. it was hugely soap-y and melodramatic After this last episode, I'm also afraid this may become soap opera-ish. I generally don't like sub plots that get into personal relationships when the main theme of the show isn't helped by them.

Guest chrisnu
IMHO the crappiest episode of CSI was last year's episode that dealt with Grissom flirting with that dominatrix, and the show was all about super-mom Catherine rescuing her daughter from a sinking car. Blech!
