Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted March 23, 2004 Elders (Admins) Share Posted March 23, 2004 Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise will team together for a new feature film version of the H.G. Wells sci-fi classic The War of the Worlds, according to Variety. The trade paper reported that Spielberg will co-produce and direct the film, with Cruise on board as a co-producer and likely star. Spielberg and Cruise last collaborated on Minority Report. David Koepp will rework a first draft by Josh Friedman (Chain Reaction). Koepp previously wrote the Spielberg-directed Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and received a story credit on the Cruise vehicle Mission: Impossible. Variety added that pending the delivery of a script satisfactory to both Spielberg and Cruise, production on The War of the Worlds could start in late 2005. Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks will co-finance the film.

voidprime
Tom Cruise is a member of Selfosophy..errr. I mean Scientology. I will probably see it, but I rather Tom Cruise and Lucy Butler in a movie. They could call it Eyes Wide Shut 2: Lucy's dungeon. Be Seeing You, David Blackwell
