What are the worst movies you have seen?

Recommended Posts

OK, it had to happen. A thread where people discuss the worst movies they have seen. Movies that should have never been made and movies we had to suffer through.

Here are some movies I think are the worst movies I have watched in the recent few years:

HULK: Just gets worse and worse as the second half of the movie drags on.

PLUTO NASH: Great set and costume design, but the script is an absolute stinker.

LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN- runs on for 30 minutes too long, delted scenes show some chracter moments were cut out, and the movie's plot butchers the comic book it is based on. ugh.

BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER- one of the worst action movies ever made. I just wonder why crappy scripts like this keep getting made.

SIGNS- I can punch holes into this movie all day.

SPIDER-MAN- Terrible script, manymissed chances like I would have liked to see more time with Peter in high school instead of being whisked off to college shortly after Uncle Ben is killed. I don't like the casting choices for Peter Parker or Mary Jane.

SCREAM 3- one of the worst sequels ever. It is too much a retread of what went on before and made even worse once one realizes how overrated the first two SCREAM movies are.

BLAIR WITCH PROJECT- annoying characters and insipid pacing

THE SIXTH SENSE- It's absolutely boring after the first viewing and THE EYE shows how much this movie plays it too safe.

I'll think of more later. I want to know what movies you think are just plain crap or just plain bad. It doesn't even have to be a movie from the last 10 years. It could be from anywhere in the history of motion pictures.

BATTLEFIELD EARTH

no one in their right mind should watch it, even if you can watch it for free DONT!!!!

Yep, Donnie Darko is a terrible movie. teh ending makes teh entire movie pointless and just plain bad.

The worst film noir I have seen recently has to be DETOUR Stop reading if you don't want the plot spoiled.

STOP READING.

I WARNED YA. PROCEED WITH CAUTION

My problem with DETOUR is the whole plot. First the guy who gives him a ride to California dies in his sleep while he has our main chracter driving. Main character panics and decides to depose of body even though the guy who gave hima ride died of natural causes. He decides to drive the car because he has to see his girlfriend who moved there. He picks up a woman hitchhiker who knows the car doesn't belong to the main character.

Being the cold-hearted ***** she is, she decides to blackmial him. I would have cheered if the guy killed the woman, but he doesn't. She somehow strangles herself with a telephone cord. Then you have the guy stepping out of the diner at the end of the movie to be picked up by the cops.

Horrible plot. bad script. I mean I was thinking :puke::puke: :Gehenna_demon:

Lucy would have put this guy to shame. Where is Lucy Butler when you need her?! I don't want a guy witha weak will in a movie. I want teh guy with the weak will to have killed the woman and then it would have been better to see everything catch up with him later after he got back with his girlfriend. Alas they didn't do it and the movie is totally 1948 crap (I think that is the year the movie came out).

It depends what you mean by 'bad' really. Some of the worst films I've seen were also the most enjoyable:

Godzilla Vs. King Gidorah (hilarious! )

Super Mario Bros. (So bad it's intoxicating)

The Langoleirs (a dreadful Stephen King adaptation)

a heap of zombie films...

But, if you mean the films i enjoyed the least, well:

Independance Day (check D Duchovny pissing on the poster in TXF movie :grin2: )

Die Hard 2

Highlander

Porky's

Universal Soldier

most James Bond films

The Green Mile

Forrest Gimp

Every 'Carry On' film that I've seen

anything with Charlton "you bloody b*******!!" Heston.

...and I'm sure Ive seen a ton of bad action films that have thankfully left my memory.

I tend not to remember the bad films. Best to talk of the ones we like, right?

Blair witch, DEFINATLY the most incredible waist of 2 hours in the history of the universe! :devil01:

There was some movie from the 70's, with "McCoy" from Star Trek, called "The Lepus", or something like that.... It was about a bunch of giant, man-eating rabbits. That was by far, the worst movie I've ever seen! I cryed when I first saw that movie.... (sorry....McCoy fan)

Night of The Lepus! Flesh-eating rabbits the size of cows! XD

I disagree with some of the listed films being bad, but of the already mentioned movies (That I have watched) that I also thought were horrible.

Donnie Darko

The Ring (The original Japanese film is decent though)

Scream (And all it's sequels)

Blair Witch

To add to the list

Demons

Demons 2

From Dusk Till Dawn

Ghoulies

Mac And Me

Natural Born Killers

Resevoir Dogs

Saint Sinner

Species

One movie that is so bad it's funny is "Pod People"

hey now,

from Dawn to Dusk has our Lance in it, so it can't be all bad, can it??

When I saw Blair witch it was at a friends house, in the dark and they were really into it. they had the wood things hanging around outside and they had the piles of rocks and we watch it and they turn out all the lights and hand me this heavy thing, and they use one little light to illuminate it when i turn it over and it was one of the hand prints from the house- it was on ebay, erm, won't go into the legalitys later- and it was like- huh? oh... and all that night I kept hearing a bang bang bang, and a wierd cry, and THAT is what freaked me the most. It turnes out it was her daughter having a bad dream in the room next door.

anyway, when I saw the ring, I was at the neighbors house and we watched it in the dark, and it didn't weird me until I had to walk across the street and I kept looking at the phone- and it RANG,,, and it was the neigbor letting me know I had forgotten the popcorn.

YOU try sleeping after that!
