I was watching my new fav. TV show "Raines" Friday night and noticed a very familiar face. I was Allistar Pepper!, in real life is actor Richard Cox. He looked so old. I wonder if anyone here noticed he also appeared in a X-File episode. Anyone knows which one? Well its Brand X

I can't recall if he was in a The X-Files episode, but he was in an episode of Star Trek Next Gen. He played a underground resistance/terrorist leader named Finn, and did a great job of it, I felt. However, the episode was a bit naive - it didn't portray all of the factors that usually accompany both a terrorist underground - drug trade, arms trade, religious fanaticsm - which all either fund or fuel the underground. Niether did it portray the propoganda, double dealing, misinformation campaigns, and manipulation of the media by the dominating sovereignty.

One of my favourite lines of dialogue in the episode:

(Dr. Crusher has been taken hostage to both get the Federations attention as to its own involvement in their affairs, and to treat the members of the resistance)

Finn (terrorist leader): This is a war for independence, and I am no better or different than your own George Washington.

Dr. Crusher: Washington was a military general, not a terrorist.

Finn: The difference between generals and terrorists is only the difference between winners and losers. If you win you are called a general, if you lose...
