I'm sorry, but reading the above posts, I got a mental picture of 'young' Mr Grace tottering down the stairs at Grace Brothers, shouting "well done everybody, You've all done very well".

Non UK members probably won't get it, but UK members (of a certain age) will.

You've been served! I guessed but I don't recall the phrase! Anyway, it was sincere thanks not to be taken at all a patronising way.

My apologies, I did not intend to sound as if I I thought anyone was patronising, it was just the comedic mental image that was conjured up in my head.

You are right though, it was from "Are You Being Served". The finale of each episode, ended with 'young' Mr Grace, who looked in his nineties, being escorted in by his 'nurse' (ex page 3/dolly bird in nurses uniform - 50 points to anyone who can name her!) and telling everyone how well they had done.

Well Sue advises (and I'm sure she won't shout at me for saying this) that the interview went ahead so you can all relax! I won't add any more as I don't want to spoil anything until Sue gets chance to upload the transcript. :praying:
