My new small family member "TAZ"

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone!

Taz has a heart of gold... He is running all over the house and attacking my dogs feet. My siamese cat Kalin just hisses at Taz and runs away. lol

Our loss of Sheba is still very fresh and hurts like hell, but Taz has put some light back into our home and Taz keeps us all busy wondering what's next!

As the day is long, the adventure grows... Hold your little ones tight... :smokin:

Wonderful news, Archer...

I had a bit of a shock last night, when my little Spencer did a swan dive off our deck (which he has done before, and was ok)..... and landed badly, breaking 2 bones in his right front leg completely in half. Terry was at work, and I had to carry a screaming, 32 pound dog (with the bad disk in my back) around the house and in the door, while his leg just swung by the skin and tendons alone.

It was horrible...

I couldn't help but think of you, and Taz, and wonder what kind of a monster could just leave him to suffer like that.

Spencer's been operated on, and will be home in a few days.

Taz is lucky to have angles like you and your wife....

I think they want to keep him there till Saturday. He got through the surgery ok, and I'm going to be able to go and visit him tomorrow.

As for the bill.... I fear we already know it will pretty much kill any funds we had saved for our wedding this fall. I'm just hoping I can help Terry earn some of that money back before then.

.... Looking forward to more pictures of Taz? He's just too cute!

I'm so sorry Erin. What a terrible thing to have happen. I know it scared you to death. Please take care of yourself and don't worry too much. You are always in our hearts.

You too Archer! Taz melts my heart he's so sweet! Be well both of you!

Erin, I'm sorry to hear about Spencer, I hope he'll get well soon. Is that him on the photo? He's absolutely beautiful! You can tell by his look that he's a very friendly and happy dog.

not intending to hijack the thread....but to answer questions...

I was able to go and visit him today, and he was SOOOO excited, thinking I was there to take him home. I hated having to leave him again, but I'll get him back in the morning.

He actually recognized me through a glass door, from inside his cage! The vet tech left us alone for a few minutes, and he 'told' me he had to go out to pee. LOL So, I got someone to give me a leash and took him outside for a few minutes. He's doing well on 3 legs... and I think of Taz now quite often.

Tomorrow will be a great homecoming!!!

And, yes...that's him in the photo. Here's another....

He's a beautiful dog Erin, breaks my heart to think of him in pain.
