Guest Omega
An Egyptian farmer pushed his three daughters into an irrigation canal in southern Egypt and then puffed on a cigarette as he watched them drown, a deputy prosecutor said. Anwar Abdel-Sattar, 35, fled afterward, according to Khaled el-Taher, deputy prosecutor of Barkheel village, near Sohag town, 390 kilometres (240 miles) south of Cairo. The girls’ uncle, Ahmed Metwali, informed police of the crime today, saying his sister and her husband had had a fight earlier in the day about family expenses. Afterward, according to el-Taher, Metwali said his brother-in-law said he was taking Hanan, aged eight, five-year-old Aya, and Abeer, aged four, to buy sweets. Authorities said witnesses saw Abdel-Sattar throw his daughters into the canal then watch them drowning while he smoked a cigarette. They said he then ran from the scene. Metwali issued an arrest warrant for Abdel-Sattar and said he would be sent for a psychological examination once in custody.

Guest RJ2000
Unfortunately, it's becoming more common nowadays to hear about this type of thing. I think Susan Smith was the instigator of it all. Opinions anyone?
