I saw an article earlier today about damage to a cemetery in the Houston area. Apparently there was so much rain that the water table rose and overpressured the graves and internal vaults causing the caskets to float out. Most notable among the graves was that of blues legend Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown who fled to Texas from New Orleans because of Katrina three years agon. He died there and was buried in a cemetery of primarily blacks' graves. I could never tell from the article whether the caskets that have floated out have been located or not. All I could think of when I read this was the storm scene in "Poultergeist" when the bodies started popping up in the partially dug swimming pool.

i saw the same article...guess the water started bubbling up from the gravesites and the article said there was an overwhelming smell of formaldehyde as well...must have been something to have seen coffins tossed around like toothpicks...
