I have heard that the Haven has been repeatedly hacked by the same person over and over again (I think 3 times in the last year only!), somebody who seems to have a personal grudge against Gillian Anderson (I hope I'm not spreading false rumours here).

Yes, you are right. He hacks Haven almost every year that is why there are some very strict rules for registration now. If pisher aka clyons is just crazy this dude is totally sick. I've heard he tried to hack Gillian Anderson official website. This is actually quite scary when you think about all these crazy sick dudes out there. :censored:

Laurent: I doubt you'll get an answer from clyons as to his motivation. He wouldn't be interested in responding that way. He is only interested in telling you (plural) that he's right about everything. As for why he posts so much in various places, I have a theory (cue Buffy musical!): He is intelligent and has excellent language skills, but he has a pretty low-level clerical job with no hope of progressing further. I think that along with his CC hatred, he has a need for intellectual challenge but doesn't seem to have much capacity for social engagement; I think those who do challenge him are feeding his need to apply his brain cells to something, anything, but he can't engage in debate as that would raise the possibility that other people's views have equal value to his.

Graham: I hope you're impressed at my restraint in talking about pisher! I know you know that this is about the only subject where, if I gave full reign to my feelings, I would be severely testing the automatic :censored: system of the board. :oneeyedwinK

Blackoil: Just to clarify things for others, no matter how evil I think pisher is, he isn't the person who hacks the Haven board. The Haven hacker is based in eastern Europe, pisher lives in New York. And I doubt pisher has the hacking skills necessary, and anyway he likes to be centre stage so doing anything behind the scenes isn't his style. The Haven hacker is sexually obsessed with Gillian Anderson, so it's a different kind of obsession but equally scary.

Betweenthelines: What started off as an interesting piece of research has turned into a thread about scary people. Don't let that put you off. It's better that such things emerge into the light of day so people here can eventually get a heads-up about that particular individual and read his articles with some background information and make up their own minds.

Now, I'm off to pour a glass of excellent white wine and relax in front of the telly.

I'm glad plenty of people can recognize propaganda and hate-filled agendas when they see them. It's somewhat reassuring in this day and age that malicious fabrications can be detected and exposed for what they really are, and a testament to the continued intelligence and free-thinking independence of fans everywhere.

A great many people have known about this website and the crusade of its authors for a long time, but it's heartening to know that people can see for themselves without having to be told.

If it had even the slightest significance to be noticed by the legal representatives of the parties written about, it would surely have been shut down years ago, but on the other hand having it archived for all to see really brings more shame to those responsible than any litigation ever could.

.... What? I mean, of course I can understand sexual obsession for Gillian Anderson, but why does he hack a fan forum? Oh and what is the nature of his "hacking"? Is he just taking the website down or is he using it to display his... obsession?

But back to the main subject, I think there are some good points raised in the article, but they are all overly exaggerated! Of course M&W wrote most of the best season 1 episode. But then the author accuses CC of taking small elements from other sources, while he does not even point out that M&W best X-Files episodes were mostly homage to different movies (Ice, Musings of a CSM and probably others). The partiality of the author is way too evident for the article to be taken seriously.

Alright, let's say "some" of the best instead of "most". Do you agree that Ice, One Breath and Squeeze were some of the highlights of the first season?

I agree with "Ice" and "Squeeze" -- but not "One Breath" since that was S2. :oneeyedwinK

I also think that the likes of "Deep Throat", "Fallen Angel", "Darkness Falls" and "The Erlenmeyer Flask" were just as good, some of them better.

Well, kind of. He insults Gillian Anderson, posts links to his porno websites with false porno GA photos (photoshopped, of course), etc. He is really sick. :death:
