For the money you simply can't beat StreamLight. I have 2 of their TL-3's and they are just awesome. Also check out Fenix Light. Top notch lights at very reasonable prices. SureFire has priced themselves out at this point. StreamLight & Fenix offer the same quality at less than half the price.

The surefire 6p(C-series)is the standard model for modifying flashlights using LED emitters. You can build an incredible light using the 6P as the base and buying an aftermarket LED lamp.
