I think this is an area that wasn't much part of the show, but is something that the Academy Group is involved with (as seen on the DVD):

Language experts study hate mail

The letters are filled with anger and abuse.

Recipients, which have ranged from mosques to the prime minister's office, have been bombarded with race hate and sexual insults.

But perhaps the most surprising thing about this case, which involves 57 letters and is being investigated by police, is the culprit could be a woman.

It's interesting how different people express their negative or violent feelings. "Hate mail" versus "poison pen letters" - that seems to differentiate between males versus females. In reality, though, the various techniques that people use don't actually differentiate along those binary lines. Men can do verbal aggression, and females can do physical aggression.

There are debates as to which lasts longer - the physical bruises or the emotional bruises. It's a point worthy of debate - I would think that generally speaking a man who can do verbal aggression is potentially the deadliest of all.
