FAVORITE PILOT: MillenniuM's "Pilot"

In my opinion, MillenniuM has without doubt one of the best--if not arguably THE best--pilot episode of any television show. Of course, Millennium's "Pilot" benefited from Chris Carter's clout at Fox due to the halcyon days of the The X-Files, which is an advantage that few pilot episode production teams enjoy. On the other hand, such a premiere episode can act as a two-edged sword that may set an impossibly high standard for the series that follows.

FAVORITE SERIES FINALE: Star Trek: The Next Generation's "All Good Things"

M*A*S*H may be the highest rated series finale of all time, but Star Trek: TNG's "All Good Things" is a rare example of a series saving its best for last. Although the Star Trek franchise as a whole has experienced huge swings in quality between series, episodes, and movies, "All Good Things" is good enough to make Trekkies cool, which is saying a lot. This series finale also serves as a strong reminder to other series to quit while they're on top.

The X Files "The Truth" Entertaining, but what the hell happened to Mulder and Scully and their "never say die" attitudes?

FRIENDS Yeah, we figured they'd get Rachel and Ross together, but who else was like, "Who the hell is this Mike guy, and when's Joey gonna knock him outta the way?"

*sigh* The good die young.....

I totally agree with Forza, the best pilot was Millennium and the best finale was Star Trek: The Next Generation.
