Now I might be wrong but I believe Bjork used samples of this kind of music on one of her albums. I think it was Medulla. I'm not a particular fan of her music so I could be wrong but I do have a recollection of reading about her being interested in this style of singing.

I actually realised only a moment ago that it was Mark Snow's birthday yesterday and I forgot to mark the occasion in some way. So Happy Birthday Mr. Snow. Long may you reign. :thumbsup:
