I love the Squirrel Nut Zippers and thank Millennium for turning me on to them. I have got to share this with you because it's so good and so freakishly over the top that it is another of my absolute must-listens for the spooky month. They don't make them like this any more do they?

Of course, Carpenter´s Theme comes to my mind first, when thinking of Halloween. But my favourite score from the "Halloween"-Franchise is "Halloween III", which regularly lands in my player this time of year, I really like the sounds, that Carpenter and Howarth used in the early 80´s:
