ethsnafu
That Byrne and Eno track is quite something. I had never heard of it until it was shared here and after a few listens I can comfortable say it spooked me. This is in a similar vein I guess and it's simply a Madonna track entitled "The Beast Within" which is literally a sparse music track accompanied by Madonna reading from the book of Revelation. Evidently a Bible reading shouldn't be spooky but...it is...and everyone I know who has heard this track and seen the video finds it eerie. See what you think folks. Guest WaveCrest
Another Halloween style song is Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult.

If any book of the Bible is gonna come across spooky, Revelations would be it. Many Kabbalists believe Revelations is a Kabbalistic text. Wonder if that's how Madonna relates to it, as a student of Kabbalah.
ethsnafu
Madonna recorded it prior to he interest in Kabbalah taking a hold but she certainly had a compelling fascination for it even the in the pre enlightenment days. A rather unusual bit of trivia is that her recording of the Bible passages was dedicated to Saddam Hussein. The closing words she speaks on the recording were "whaty're you gonna do" and many assumed she directed and dedicated it to him as she acquainted him with The Great Beast at the time.
