ethsnafu
Hi folks, I am sure you will find this of interest. The avclub has been reviewing Millennium and X-Files episodes side by side and the reviews are extremely readable and very interesting. Certainly they ranks as some of the better reviews of our show that I have seen. If you want to head on over and check out what they think of our show then use the link below. Guest WaveCrest
I've just had a look at some of the "Wide Open" review in the linked article Mark. On the whole the reviewer is fairly positive towards the episode but critical of the show's dark theme. Thanks for sharing the review.
ethsnafu
That's not a bad review at all is it which is nice to see because on the whole they have been rather critical of Millennium and, in particular, Chris Carter. I get the impression that they fall into the old M&W/CC divide as they have often compared M&W more favourable to CC. That said, their reviews of XF have been great fun to read and very comprehensive. There's been some more since then folks. Here's Paper Hearts/The Wild And The Innocent https://www.avclub.com/articles/paper-heartsthe-wild-and-the-innocent,48283/ and El Mundo Gira/Weeds https://www.avclub.com/articles/el-mundo-giraweeds,48529/. can I just say before I read the latter. El Mundo Gira gets some very lukewarm reviews and yet I really, really like it. It's such a fun little episode. There, that's my confession. Earthnut
All the episodes of MLM were good, as we know some are better then others. It wasn't one I particularly liked, but would still watch it again. It's always about personal preference of the subject matter, and drinking blood is low on my list of entertainment. There, that's my confession.

Eth "El Mundo Gira" wasn't a classic episode, but it wasn't a terrible episode (compared to "Teso Dos Bichos" from the third season).
IHaveGoodInstincts
Wow Eth, you are just spilling your guts on this thread! Whoops! Maybe that pun is a little too Millennium-istic. Nice reviews. It's cool to see them go deep with Millennium and the X Files.
