I saw this story and it immediately called to mind the great bird plague at the end of Season 2. Did anyone else think the same thing? Just to be on the safe side, I think I'll stay away from chicken for awhile...

Yes I was thinking the same thing. It has now happened in several different countries. Plus there have been mass (millions) fish deaths at the same time.

I have no doubt in my mind that everyone in the group thought of the "Marburg Virus," from the end of season two. Makes me wonder what the real name of it is out in the real world.

I recall there being an outbreak in North Africa several years ago. I heard Marburg Virus being talked about on the news and my ears perked up real fast.

And I have to say, the first thing I thought of after hearing the bird story was Millennium, lol
