It could very well be the X-Files, and hey, it's Chris Carter. NCIS had an episode about finding a crop circle and Abby went nuts investigating everything in and around it. One crop circle tells of beings that are not carbon based but silicon based. The beings are humanoid with large heads, have an extra string in their DNA, are 4 feet tall, inhabit the 3rd, 4th, and 5th planet in their solar system, and have a population of around 21.3 billion. Another crop circle gives a message: "Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises. Much pain but still time. There is good out there. We disclose deception...."
