O.K. We all need a good dose of Millennium.

I'll say this and then leave it as well, the way I see it, there are always two sides to a story. I've been in the Millennium community for a while now and have entered a couple of the BTFB contests and those guys have been nothing but nice. I've not heard anything bad about any individual from there or anything they have done.

Seesthru asked does Lance know what kind of person he's dealing with? How do you think Lance would feel about bashing another person which is kind of what is going on here.

I don't know Lance or those guys personally, but I appreciate what they have done for Millennium..again, there is always two sides to a story.

I appreciate everyone from BTFB to TIWWA, to Lance and anyone related to the show. :)

Yes Manderson, you are right, there are two sides to every story, and most often and unfortunately, multiple sides, which definitely creates chaos.  I am sure I can speak for everyone when I say we that all the people here are nice and at all the other sites, BTFB, Facebook, Fanart, video sites, screenshot sites, and the list goes on and on.  Everyone is greatly appreciated, wherever they may be.  As I said earlier, we are all fans of the show, and we all want the same result, Frank Black back.  There was a problem, and from what I understand, it was with only one person and that problem has been solved.  I really don't believe anyone is bashing anyone else, it's just a matter of not knowing what is going on now, and naturally, human nature, curious.

NOW, all is well, and forgiven, and may the past rest in peace.  Remember, it's who we are.  :ouroborous:  :480:

seesthru: You've done nothing wrong, so you have nothing to apologise for. Many people here don't know the background to the situation because discussions were only held between the Elders and not on the main board. I did eventually ban Troy Foreman because of his behaviour here.

Going back to Millennium:

It's probably just one of those weird coincidences, but I've just started a new lecture course on Chaos. Although that's focused on Chaos Theory, so is going to be all about the science stuff, there is an overlap into how to understand the minds of the killers that Frank pursued. I think I can make that link because there was a time, shortly after the great Isaac Newton formulated his laws, that there was the general feeling that the universe and everything in it was deterministic. Yes, that did cause problems in terms of humans - what, then, becomes of free will?

Forensic psychologists and psychiatrists often try to track back from the crime, to try to figure out what were the triggers for that criminal behaviour. But human lives are so full of variables that that's almost a futile exercise. And real-life, official, criminal profiles are mostly based on statistical probabilities of previous criminal behaviour - e.g. "the unknown perpetrator of serial violent offences is male", but that's because almost all serial violent offenders are male.

Real-life detectives need to have some idea of who to look for, which is kind of going backwards from the crime. But Frank's ability often means that he can go forwards - not solely who did it, but who/where/when is the next victim. He's someone who can grasp the chaos that is the mind of the serial killer to predict the next move. That's a talent that I'm very thankful I don't have - it really is the stuff of nightmares.

It's profiling   It's fascinating. Frank didn't need his  supernatural "gift"   to see or predict the future actions of a criminal.  The study of so many has led to   that.   I remember John Douglas talking about the Wayne Williams ( Atlanta Child murders)  case. When Williams was in court,  Douglas would tell the prosecutor or whoever, what actions Willliams would take in the future right down to  what day the guy would feign illness. And  one of the other cases,   the profilers knew the guy would have a disfigurement or stutter.

Blood spatter can tell you if a killer is left or right handed perhaps, among other things, but  to look at a crime scene or autopsy report and photos ( as bad as that is), and know   so many details  about the killer?  It seems  like voodoo or ESP or magic.

I doubt any of the real life  folks could look at a body bag and tell you if the head is severed  or any of that, but the behavioral aspects.   knowing how a  person will behave in court based on studying others, based on a psychological profile of someone you've not even met.  WOW.

That was what attracted me to MIllennium. That's what keeps me interested in the show.  They do take from real life cases.   I do like the supernatural aspect of Frank and Jordan and Lara Means... it adds to the show. But... the basics are there and wholly able to keep  an audience!

Thanks for accepting my apology all.  As for the whole  past, yep it's past.    I  shall leave it there.

One last thing:   The emphasis here has always been Frank Black.   When thinking of the future of MIllennium it seems to rest on Jordan Black   I think the magic is in all the characters though.  The future rests on all.   None of us are getting younger though.  DO you think we'd all love the show as much if it were revived, but had a different  cast filling the roles of the characters? I fear if they wait much longer that's how it will end up. They might revive it from the beginning, start over,  or not at all.  I wonder if what we have now, the 3 seasons and that awful x-files crossover ( loved the actors hated the plot)  are all  that there will be as far as television? no reboot so to speak.

Manderson you are correct there are two sides.  and three and four and five...   I was befuddled..  Things have been clarified, now that I have seen more than one side.   So I'm done with it.   Looking forward to the  nostalgia of watching the show, without the tension of  those unseen affecting things seen. ;)    I have to realize in the end, it's the show I love.  it's characters ALL of them make this show what it is.  I'm so glad spent the money and got the DVD's, because when crap is king on TV?  I can watch the  blast from the past and  see my favorite characters and favorite red jeep and favorite yellow house again.

I love this place too.  We can share this  show, this wonderful show. And yeah others too.  I still can't do the walking dead though.   I can't get into zombies.

Great pictures!  The one you shared is my favorite.  It looks the most cheerful and most like a family portrait!

Yeah, everyone is smiling.  Must have been taken immediately after they moved into the yellow house.  Sure didn't take long for things to change.
