Earthnut
You nailed it kath, someone to listen and try and communicate, and not be afraid. I truly believe they want to end their torment and cross over into the light, and maybe your friend can help. I also still urge her to seek out and contact someone that has experience in this sort of thing. Libby, that's so true about abused women getting involved with abusing men. It becomes a comfort zone, something familiar, instead of stepping out into the unknown to search for their freedom and peace. Speaking for those of us who believe in the power of prayer, let me say that it not only changes situations, but it also changes people. I am not religious, but I am spiritual, and I confess that I have a personal relationship with my Lord Christ Jesus. I believe my Lord can do all things, and trust that your friend will find her peace and have joy in her life, that opportunities will present themselves, and definitely lots of support and love.
