Beerbelch
Premiere date September 27th at 9/8c! Premiere date September 27th at 9/8c! BEER----> That's too long to wait. They should follow 'Grimm's' lead. BELCH
Walkabout
they probly have fewer eps, but as long as the quallity is there I can live with less quantity.
Beerbelch
BEER-----> Our beloved TV show had 26 quality episodes a season. I guess they can't do that any more. BELCH
Earthnut
It's weird, according to Wikipedia, season two of Grimm has 22 episodes, Revenge will have 22, Criminal MInds season 8 and NCIS season 9 both have 24, Hawaii Five-O will be in the 20s, Homeland will have 12, Hell On Wheels 10, Mad Men has always been 13, same with Justified, Person of Interest season 2 hasn't been announced yet but season 1 had 13, Walking Dead season1 was only 6, season 2 was 13, and season 3 will have 16, Falling Skies Season 1-3 are 10, as well as Game of Thrones season 1-3. It appears the older and more popular the series, the more episodes they make, yet some never change. It's weird to me. In the original 1978 series of Dallas season 1 only had 5, most of the 14 were in the 20s, and 3 seasons had 30.
Walkabout
I'm sure cost per ep vs. revenue could have a big impact on the number of eps. also some stars want short seasons to have time for other projects and or family .
Earthnut
No doubt in my mind it's a cost factor. And, when the seasons come out on DVD, they can charge the same or more and offer less. I didn't think that stars had a say-so, unless of course it's written in their contract, which is probably the case.
