We also had a drought and floods. Basically, it's all of the above.

I'm beginning to think Oklahoma is being used as a guinea pig. After the sky is full of chemtrails we end up having sever weather of some sort.

All kidding aside, I am so very thankful there have not been any deaths, to the best of my knowledge.

I've seen some photographs of the damage, and some of them look pretty scary. It is indeed very fortunate that the injury toll has been so low - though the emotional toll isn't measurable.

We do live on a vibrant, active planet (and that's why there's life here); but the consequences are events such as earthquakes and volcanoes and tornadoes and severe weather patterns.

I'm still not sure about the issue of fracking vis-a-vis earthquakes, particularly as there are fault-lines running through various places away from the edges of the North American plate which naturally result in earthquakes. (I could write screeds about tectonic plates, subduction zones, island arcs, mid-tectonic plate seismology, but I'd end up boring myself, let alone anyone else.)

If fracking were to be involved, then it would be: Frackingdryquakeizzardenadoflood.

I reckon that it's about time Oklahoma got a breather from all that you Oklahomans (sp?) have had to deal with this year.

I think it's spelled Okies. Oakies would be from Oakland.

Yes, we can definitely use a breather. We do, however, have lakes with water in them now.

So I guess that makes me a "Frackingdryquakeizzardenadoflood" Okie.
