TV Shows Cancelled Before Their Time

Recommended Posts

Naturally, first on the list is "Millennium."

Next, I personally wish there had been more then 3 seasons of "Carnivale." I absolutely loved that show.

One show that I would have liked to have seen more of was "Wonderfalls". As far as I know, it never made its way to the UK (I downloaded it). It was just wonderfully quirky. I think it only came to my attention because Tim Minear was one of the writers/executive producer.

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Wonderfalls:

The pilot episode, "Wax Lion", received a higher Nielsen rating when it was repeated the Thursday after its premiere, and the show was moved from a Friday night time slot to Thursday. There was little notice or promotion of the time change, and the show was subsequently canceled after airing the fourth episode.

Wow, great response, thanks guys.

Never heard of Wonderfalls, will look it up.

I also want to add Harsh Realm to the list.

"Soap" ended after four seasons without closure. Hysterical show.

Along with those already listed I would add The Dresden Files,Journeyman, and Virtuality. RIP_stone.gif

I forgot about Journeyman... and that same summer, a show called Traveler. I really liked both of them.

That reminds me, going further back, Nowhere Man and, sadly, The Lazarus Man. I liked Nowhere Man and was disapointed it didn't get a second year, I was actually pissed about Lazarus Man, though. I still want to know the rest of the story... But Robert Urich is dead...

I also want to add Harsh Realm to the list.

I knew I had one on the tip o' my tounge! That was it!

Oh, and, of course, The Lone Gunmen!

I know it's a light year ago.... but "Twin Peaks" comes to mind, too!

Thought of another one, and it's a recent show, "V." I was really enjoying it.

Another recent show that it would have been nice to have at least one more season for a better closure is Stargate: Universe.
