Hawking Earth doomed: Physicist says Earth doomed without space exploration

I think if we can't take care of this home, we don't need to go out trashing others....

Mankind may be due another cleansing or another pandemic to thin out numbers, but the earth itself will survive our damage to it. It will repair and re-create. Mankind may not be lucky enough to repair and re-create as successfully. I am encouraged when I see people living the good steward life , and at the same time horrified at big corporations taking the natural and turning it into something monstrous.... I think or rather i hope, the good stewards will win out in the end.
